Good Play: 8/10 - No sick stuff but couldn't really find any mistakes with my play
Not thinking about money: 7/10 - Well at least I didn't check my money but I knew I was down quite a bit due to the bad run
I have not posted in a week which means my determination to stick to my schedule completely failed. I went through another downswing but I'm recovering from it. Many bad habits started to kick in again as usual but this week I consciously tried to stop them from happening and I'm making money again.

Honestly I don't know much about finance since I'm purely focused on Poker. I just know that the US is fucked. But apparently thanks to Greece and Italy Europe is fucked too. Now the EUR is dropping a lot against the USD and I'm losing money. Does anyone think I should switch back to USD?
And SGD along with all other currencies are appreciating against these 2 major currencies. Life sucks...

ok i just added a CAD account and converted 1/3 of my roll. Will do the rest tmr since there's a daily limit
i did keep some of my roll in a mix of CAD/EURO/USD at one point of time. then blackfriday came and i made a big withdrawal and couldnt manage to sustain my roll in diff currencies.
in any case, my plan is to not keep so much roll online. this would then make it tough to actually diversify my roll over 2/3 currencies.
anyhow, your point seems to be on converting your entire roll to CAD.
which also sucks since, we are realising our exchange rate losses on euro. but if euro continues to depress in the near future, then not exchanging to CAD sucks too.

Fired out a quick 1h20 min session, 12-20 tabling NL200 SH
I think I played pretty well besides a few small mistakes but luck wasn't good at all.
1) Would never try such a move at NL400. This guy seemed ABC and has low WTSD so I decided to see if I could push him off his hand. I think the fact that he had QQ reduced my AQ combos by half, I might have been able to fold out KK I think. I'm not even sure if the flop call is good (I think it isn't). I think he will cbet a lot of his underpairs for merging purposes + he has a ton of AX hands in his range when he light 3bets from the BU.

crazy stuff 1. hand... i think you cant c/shove w/ 99 here because from my experience they arent sooo fold happy and your line look very strong or very weak here. the turn checkbehind and the riverbet by villain smells like a better pair than yours. i would just c/f.
2. hand what about donk/3b on the flop? i agree that the c/r option isnt good but you could take away the initiative by donkleading the river?

just sit at several NL5k tables then exit and all ur funds will be converted to ur preferred currency. I've talked to some friends about the situation in Europe and it looks like EUR is more fucked than the US (which is also fucked). I also asked about UK and UK seems semi-screwed too so definitely plan for now is to keep everything in CAD and minimize my losses. CAD seems to be gradually appreciating.

3 h 1200 hands NL400 SH 4-6 tables
Have been running really well again so my motivation to grind is back. I'm 4k above EV for the month but doesn't matter too much since I think I'm down like 10k+ EV lifetime on this computer (don't know about the other computer).
I have re-removed my bad habits again, it's always such a tough struggle to do so. Checking the cashier, loading >6 tables etc etc but yeah I feel great now when I don't have all those problems. Will review some hands later, some interesting spots.
I found this link about currency forecast for CAD vs US and it does not look good for CAD. Not sure how correct it is but if you convert now then according to this you will only be loosing more. This might just be a US site as it forecasts the US$ to do well against all the currencies for next few months!!

yeah i dont really know but i thought US is going down even more after quantitative easing and they start printing more money. USD has been dropping very steeply vs SGD since forever.

I played a short 80 min session. Lost a flip but rest of it went well at the beginning. Some guy spazzed quite a bit of money to me but after that I made 2 massive mistakes which cost me 700.
Which brings me to the topic of balance. I think I have been pushed off my hand in so many spots because my checking range is too weak on all streets. And I have often tried to push people off, assuming their checking range is weak but I have been caught time and again.
So if I can strengthen my defence (more balanced checking ranges), I lose less money. If I can be more selective in spots for me to bluff vs checks, I lose less money too. This will increase my profits by a lot.
1) I would usually mindlessly barrel this but today I decided to think through this hand. I figured there was some % of the time where he would spazz, and also his KX hands are mostly KQ so I'm not getting 3 streets from any other hand. On the other hand if I check I might get a light call from AQ on the river, and certainly from KJs.

2) I think vs a random normal opponent this would be the best play since villain almost always has to fold here (98%+). This guy is KingBoromir who plays super high. I have no history and no reads on him but at least I should have given him credit for having some monsters some 5-10% of the time. 3) Biggest spazz of the day. I know villain doesn't rep much and he knows that too. But in FR people slowplay AA and KK quite often since they wouldn't really have much of a bluff 3bet range vs UTG raisers (which mean they shouldn't really have much of a value range either). so I will review my notes with TLN a few months ago about balance in 3bet pots.
then i'll just review some spots in HEM and think about how to derive balanced ranges in single raised pots too. definitely need to have monsters in my range at any point in time.
First hand nh. The only thing is with KJ or AQ they will almost always check back this river. But if they are on a random bluff hand then you get paid off. So I think these lines are very similar in terms of long term EV.
For the second hand, what was the river shove for? I can't see what your going to bluff out there. If he has rivered a random A then he will probs call but due to the action prior, if he's hit the ace then he has probably got aces up.
He's obv never folding a flush but that'd be weird if he showed a flush there. The only better hands I can see him folding are TJ, TQ and TK. Actually, he may fold some weak two pairs there (depending on reads).
It's a weird spot. I personally would have checked that river back cos I'm not gonna get called by much worse.
In hand 3, I'm not sure what else you could have done there. With him flatting in early position he may also have 22-99. So almost all of those hands are raising teh flop and I think rarely folding teh turn.
Isnt USD supposed to go down even mooaaaaar? They need to raise debt cellling by August2 or they are screwed ...
BTW, If my currency is EUR and I have everything in EUR I prob. should not worry about "losign money" cause I will ahve to exchange them ot Euro some time anyway... (and lsoe even more on exchange rates) , right?

actually the only currencies that are strong nowadays are canadian dollar and australian dollar.
long term dollar is gonna get screwed, euro is fucked up since most the countries are going to default also.
your better of staying with the USdollar compared to your SG dollar (even though its gonna go down eventually) its not like your changing 100k's the difference in dollar devaluation won't be noticeable.

@dwyt84: can u explain what you mean? why should I change to USD in the short-term if it's going to go down eventually? u expect a short-term rise? and if CAD and aussie is going to remain strong why would I not want to keep my money in those currencies? I'm not intending to speculate in forex for now so I just want a long-term approach in dealing with my currencies.
