Thazar im sorry but somehow no evidence is enough. Im not typing any more replies today, the thread has some relevant information for people that want to read it. Ill only type in any replies after a 24 hour cooling period so it doesnt get personal, thats if this thread is still open.

OP leave these people to their fate. They actually believe their money is safe with people on the FBI's wanted list. Theres no point in arguing with them, and the intelligent ones who get the message know their next moves. I trust you 100%.

Dipak.

Dipak and OP,

To be clear neither Pokerstars or Full Tilt were accused of ripping off punters directly and certainly not intentionally.
For the most part they were just trying to get round the ludicrous USA internet gambling act.
Obviously they had to cross some lines in doing this, and Full Tilt did obvioulsy put punters funds at risks.

[B]But noone has accused them of rigged software that I know of, unless you can prove otherwise.

OP has given proof. It is a WSOP bracelet winner, if u feel kanika is demented and dipak is not in the right side of it, then how about a WSOP bracelet winner? OP gave you the article, did you read it?

+2 go read something else if u dont like this thread, and frankly there are many kanikas and dipaks out there that have the brains to use this information for their benefit. Go read another thread, someday u will learn that it was true.

Jack,

Perhaps my brains are lacking, but I fail to see how a report on a degenerate gambler in a trash english newspaper is proof that Full Tilt and Poker Stars have rigged software. Perhaps you can elighten us less brainy folks how it is so?

Did you read it.

Lets skip to the last two paragraphs:

"For those of you interested in a top poker pro tilting and talking about the perceived injustices of online poker should check out his blog here.

In the meantime its quite refreshing to hear a pro lose his rag and let off steam once in a while, like the rest of us."

This article was based on a ranting blog post entitled "Blog where I curse alot....don't read if you can't handle a few F bombs"

Seriously kids, stop believing everything you read :f_confused: :f_confused: :f_eek: :f_eek: :f_eek:

you people are more intelligent than a seasoned WSOP bracelet winner. OP has given several segments of proof. You will also disregard that everybody that was playing WSOP 2011 was discussing that online poker is totally rigged and playing live is safer. You will disregard that till you see that it comes to bite you someday. Im a 53 year old woman married with 3 kids who will not take that chance. The offences commited by online poker sites prove that they are not clean. If they are not clean, please do not defend them. I will only play live, that too maybe.

:f_mad:

People need to learn what proof is...

If i wrote a blog saying I saw an alien, and two other people said they saw an alien as well, would you take that as proof of aliens existing?

Here are some facts about studies that have been done on the matter:

Only one thing doesn't make sense to me.
Why are you people that think online poker is rigged, or dirty in some other way, bringing this topic anyway?
Obviosly you are not playing online.
Don't you have anything better to do?
If you want to educate us stupid believers and do the good deed than you better go save the whales or rain forests, hungry African children etc. then trying to save us dirty gamblers!?

ok lets assume that the man who lost 1 million was a degenerate gambler too, no brains donk, a total fish. If 3 to 5 future players Dont make the same mistake as him and cut their losses maybe at 200,000 pounds instead of 1 million pounds, this thread would have helped a few people. Its important to realise how deep people can get sucked in when they are playing on tilt. Sometimes all it takes is having the cash in the bank and intelligent people sometimes do unintelligent things in online poker. More awareness on the darker side is good for everybody.

The thing is, this thread is not set up as a warning about addiction and playing with self-imposed limits, it is a thread about Poker being run by criminals and rigged, without any proof. It's as if the OP expected to come here, post this (probably after either getting sucked out on a couple of times, and playing like a donk the rest o the time) and expected everyone to say he is right and we'll no longer play online poker.

I agree that addiction like in the article can be very dangerous, but there was no mention of rigging in the article, but the op seems to think that if you play enough hands you should win money and if you don't then it's rigged...

i would love to go do something like that, sounds interesting, but here i am believing that online poker isn't rigged, damn i rigged myself.

poker, esspecially the online version, i feel is very deceptive in it's nature, you could be playing nl2 make a few inspired moves and convince yourself that your the best in the world and never progress. thats when the rigged part comes in handy, it's an ego protection mechanism.

a couple points:

poker is a zero sum game. what one person gains, someone else must lose. gains are never as much as losses as a result of the house rake.

the house is incentivised to provide a reliable, quality service as a result of the house rake. for example, at 250$ rake/hr a casino grosses roughly 2.21m$ per year per table. online poker is also raked at a very high percentage (lower than live however) and overheads are smaller.

who wins at the games? i'm sure d'silva is a smart person, however he is by no means a poker professional and it is highly unlikely he has spent nearly as much time and effort studying the game and tweaking his play. at the highest levels the majority of the players are playing very well and in many cases quite similarly (or close to optimal). thus d'silva is at a huge disadvantage whenever he sits at a table.

whenever someone is at a disadvantage or perceived to be at a disadvantage on the tables, games will fill around them.

tournaments are extremely high variance and on any given day 85%+ of the field have a chance to win them (and <15% of really bad players cannot). when you win a tournament (even several) this does not mean you are necessarily skilled enough to play cash games at the highest level.

thus, your tournament-winning heroes like Gus Hansen and many other wsop bracelet winners are actually fish, or perceived to be fish in the high stakes cash game fields. wait lists don't start up when gus hansen is playing because people are bored and want to have some fun against gus. this happens because they perceive gus to be a fish. if they are indeed fish, online poker would be rigged only if they were winning in the long term. this isn't the case, and actually helps prove (but does not in itself prove) that online poker isn't rigged.

Excuse me Mr. Chenny, your argument is extremely well thought out and written, but his friend told him online pokerz was rigged, and some guy lost loads of his money, that is conclusive proof the poker is rigged. So your argument is invalid

So why is it that everyone on the side of supporting poker as rigged, are all bronze/white status, have less than 10 post count and were all created around the same time a month ago?

Can people do nothing else but +1 this post so that this thread can shrivel up and die?

if a world series of poker bracelet winner, who is somebody that can win at poker is openly claiming he finds online poker rigged, when i know what a cashout curse is, when the fbi has said that these people are actually not at all clean, then that leaves us with the choice to trust criminals or not. i dont, some may its a choice, maybe after pokerstars is banned globally more people will get the message.
