Looking forward to follow!

Örömmel hallom, remélem érdekes lesz számodra :) Különben kíváncsi vagyok hogy hogyan alakult úgy az életed, ahogy, dehát talán mégsem ildomos ilyet kérdezni egy fórumposztban... Mindenesetre láttam a community lapodon, hogy jó sok nyelvet beszélsz, well done :)

Best regards, seeya later:

@ Everyone:

Today's been a big learning day. I reviewed only a few hands, but I've watched all four parts of lessthanthree's New Perspectives, and whoaa!

Those vids are amazing!! If you are an SnG (or even an MTT) player and somehow have missed it, go watch! Extremely interesting, with lots and lots of deep thoughts and leveling!

All four vids can be found here (Gold+).

Also I was really flattered by the fact that IngridN greeted me on my own language, it really made my day :f_biggrin:

See you at the tables!

EDIT: I've seen all of <3's vids and I've got no clue how the heck I missed these pearls for the past month .... meh.

Nice, just as I'm about to hit gold status here within 30 SP's, I get a link to some very good video's, thanks akrammon!

@ NIVEKii:

If you want to check a couple of top-quality work, which contain a lot of interesting and educational stuff on gold+, then I suggest you check lessthanthreee's other vids as well, there are a bunch of Gold+ SnG vids from him, and I haven't found a single one that was bad so far :) You can search for author so I'm sure you will have no problems finding them.

On these especially good vids he has the hand histories of 2 other pokerstrategy members, so he can see the 2 other player's cards (obviously just a hand history replayer), and he examines each situation from all 3 players' perspective - thus the title, New Perspectives :)

Super interesting, full of action and spots where you can level your opponent, with some very complex thinking :)

Soooo, I'm real close to completing my goals for July.

I'm pretty disappointed. I will keep my updates for tomorrow, when I will complete the goals and probably make the review, but man, this is bad.

Throughout my poker "carreer", I usually considered myself a winning player from the point when I started really taking it seriously. And it is frustrating, that I know I'm better than most people on this limit, but I can't (or barely can, if tomorrow goes well) make a profit on a 1k sample. I know it's well withion variance, but when you actually experience it, that sucks.

I have no illusions about having 10% ROI nowadays, but I'd really like 5% :f_biggrin:

Anyway, I won't ramble on. This has me on the edge, today I got really really really angry for like 15 seconds, so I will be more careful from now on, always playing in sets and taking breaks. I think I'm pretty vulnerable to what is called "mistake tilt". I take badbeats very well but I can't stand making huge bullshit moves.

Anyway, that was enough for today, btw I ended up with a nice $15 plus today (lol), so I guess I shouldn't be complaining too much ;)

Goldstar is already achieved for August, and on the side I've already cleared a $50 Stellar Reward, so now I've got $140 waiting for THAT day when I buy all my bonuses and feel really good (whehehehe).

See you at the tables!

p.s. friday 8pm-10:30pm GMT+1 was almost completely reg-free. OMG it was so plus EV!

Yes, they are horrible. That's why it hurts not to crush big on this limit :(

How did your 600 sngs go? And what's your nick?

Thanks man, I appreciate the will to help :) I may be taking you on your word later, atm I'm reviewing most of my hands myself, but I might ask you to take a look on them in the near future, another pair of eyes can't hurt ;) Really appreciate it, thank you :)

:spade: July Review :spade:

Soooo... July has been a pretty controversial month. I started running well, then I went into a huge downfall including burning all my profits for this year's sngs on Stars, which was a damned bad feeling. But I took it relatively well, I was also concerned that I kept running into better and better hands and therefore my EV-line wasn't really going up... which doesn't mean much but it helps for morale _biggrin: So I ended up with a -$61.99, which equals a ROI of -0.7%, while my EV adjusted was approx +$318, which equals a ROI of 3.8%. Still not great but would be OK _cool: So let's see them goals then I'll ramble on:

:spade: Goals for July :spade:

:club: Play 500 SnGs - SUCCESS, 555
:club: Achieve GoldStar and clear the reload bonus - SUCCESS
:club: Handreview and study at least 30 hours - SUCCESS
:club: Be with my girlfriend as much as possible - SUCCESS

:spade: Sum-up & Feelings :spade:

Sooo, this is good. I completed all my goals, which is nice, especially because I studied/reviewed a lot and when I say a lot I mean A LOT. Like sleeping 7 hours (in the middle of summer!!!) to get up and do some reviews lot.
So that was tough but also very useful. Today I marked a few openpush/openfold hands and they were almost all around the bottom of nash, which is inspiring :)
As for the 500 SnGs, I'm glad I did it with this big of a downswing. I took it relatively well, though it still isn't over, but I'll talk about that in another post :f_grin:
So, point is that after all I got the whole bonus, which is +$100, and I've played some of the "rakeback" satellites as well :) I've cashed $88 on those things. Not great, but hey - I'm in the plus! Gotta start looking at things positively now, heh? :)
So, I'll update this and all, but if I calculate in the bonuses then my $/hr looks somewhat like $2,38.
$1,52 if I add the learning as "hr" as well.
So, that's pretty thin, but as I've said, I'm in the plus, and I've gotta look at things positively :f_biggrin:
So I'm not happy, but hopeful :)

:spade: Graph: :spade:

That's about it guys, might update this post later, now it's midnight and I'm pretty tired. Good night everyone!

EDIT: updated with all FPP sats finished. numbers are final and correct now.

Hi!

That $250 payday is amazing, I haven't ever hit the 15BI+ line on a single day yet (although neither the 45 SnG)
Your ROI will be fine after 2K, I can promise. On that day you saw how things should go normally.
cheers:)

Thanks for the encouraging words, guys, it feels great _cool:

@V1kt0r: Yea I felt pretty good on the top of that spike but as you can see it unfortunately wasn't a lasting experience :P I mean I expected some correction but it was more than just that :P

Anyway, July Wrap-up is updated as I've played the rakeback satellites :) I was running sickly bad, but it's np :)

Oh, and one more thing: Have you seen PokerStars's promotion? I'm already platinumstar which is good cos the FPPs are now ~21,5% rakeback instead of the Goldstar's ~17%. Which is good. It's also fun to see HUGE fishes running around with lots of Stars _biggrin:

(if you don't know, Stars has lowered monthly VIP status requirements to 10% (not BY 10%, to the 10% of the usual), which is a really good thing, I'll be platinum all the way until Sep 30th :f_grin: Of course I was already Gold so I'm not the biggest winner, but hey that few % plus matters _grin:

Seeya guys!

p.s. oh yea and poker went pretty well today but I gotta go now (still in a minus for August though, started with a sick downfall _confused:

It looks like I need to change titles.

I found a staker who'd stake me for half the action on the $30s on Stars. This way I can afford the limit BR-wise plus (possibly even more importantly) I won't be on scared money.

If anyone else did it I'd probably advice against it, but I simply know that I beat the $15 limit, and I didn't want to spend more months there just to confirm that with winnings I mean I've been running extremely bad, $1k below EV.

So, I explained this to the staker and he was convinced. I hope it turns out quite well for both of us _cool:

I decided to play on less tables for starters, then I will see. I played 3 $30 games (with 2 $15s as traffic was pretty low). I'm not content with the traffic but it's monday morning so what the heck _p:

Games were super soft, there were 3 regs around, 2 on each table, 2 of whom I've already known from the $15, and who aren't particularly good, and one really good player, who fired up an STT with his MT SnGs.
Fishes were spewy, I tripled up on one table in the second hand AA vs T8 vs KT with them having some weird draws, going broke on the turn :P

I think I played pretty well, obv this is no sample to look at results, but I'm quite content with my game.

Seeyou guys later!

Today was my biggest payday ever. I played 33 SnGs and I ended up with +$685. Which is amazing, my ROI is 70%, EV-adjusted is 50% (got all the cards in the good spots).

So, finally I had a really really good day.

Evening (21:00 GMT+1) was a bit reg-infested so I've stopped playing for today, will probably continue tomorrow morning.

I hope this month will go pretty well for a change, I have high hopes but I'm realistic ofc I don't think that I can keep this up. Funny thing is that almost 90%+ ROI of my first 20 SnGs is only enough for a 6th place on BoP and probably will go further down (considering last week's points).

Anyway, it'd be nice to cash big on that but can't play ~70 more SnGs as I'm going for Sziget Festival all week :) Which will be fun, hope the weather gets okay.

Seeya at the tables!

p.s. will possibly add a graph tomorrow
