Some respectful posters from 2+2 said that they will ask for video removal and public apology from ps

I dont necessarily think a public apology is necessary from ps. they had no idea this was happening. I do however think the video needs to be removed. How good it is or how much educational value it has is irrelevant. If ps.com decides to keep his video it is a serious disservice to every honest poker player who visits the site and will severely damage our reputation as an honest community.

I agree that public apology is not necessary, however well thought public release which will imply that ps regrets giving credibility to scumbag even not aware of sth like this happening, could be beneficial.

And for those that think they will gain knowledge by watching his video, maybe joining his sweat strategy group is better idea...? ?(

I think video should stay. The fact that he was cheeting is not a reason to ban his coachings. Whan someon does something bad, you don't deny his knowlege, but you prosecute him/her and take away his privileges.

His posts and videos should stay because they are good, and he should be prosecuted and punished by not letting him to play(some sites or all of them not my call), and not letting him to be part of communities. Also his punishment is also that he will never regain his credibility again.

In case that his posts and videos are not truly his, and they are good, they should stay, too.

read the 2p2 thread.the guys in his skype group said that he wasnt bad,but definetly not high stakes material and that he made blatant mistakes for one who proclaims what he proclaimed and that his game wasnt that special.

bad day for poker.and i suspect more to come :f_mad:

I can't be the judge of content quality. It is not my level of thinking and play. The bottom line is: If it is good, leave it.

I mean, can you guarantee that every video or post here is made by "good people"? Can you say that every coach here(or there) was never prosecuted by law? What if we found out that some good coach here is drug dealer? Robber? Not paying taxes?

Content of material should be an issue. Not person who made it. We don't know each other, but we share knowledge. If you bacome friend with someone from forum that is great. If not it is ok, but you won't say that you don't want to follow a good strategy/lines because you don't think he is a good man.

I totally agree.

And it's not the same as 2+2 posts. I can post on 2+2 too. About poker theory if I want. But poker strategy wouldn't put a video of mine on the site teaching theory.

There is a difference between a public forum where people are at least somewhat free to express their points of view and a school of poker which signs below their coaches and their (paid for) published content.

Please remove the video. The educational value of the content is not the issue. The issue is whether it is correct to give a "voice" to a known and admitted fraudster.

Ultimately the video stands as promotional material for Girah. It purports to show his ability and is a showcase for him.

There may be players out there who do not follow the press and, seeing his video, contact him for coaching (if he is still around) and go on to get scammed. PS.com should not be party to this.

Just as Ben Johnson was stripped of his Gold for using drugs, Girah should be stripped of the honour of having educational content on this site. It's really a very simple matter of principle.

The whole story doesn't add up. I bashed his post on 2+2 before when he first announced himself to the world with his pretty little 2 million $ graph and a sweet story how he tried to beat the game. That story was full of mistakes and I've commented on that in the Dutch community, which can be found here for the few of you that do speak Dutch.

I suspect Girah has forged all this information in order to get the opportunity to cheat and that he's actually a low to mid stakes player. I also don't believe that the number of people that he cheated are limited to the number in the thread. I think he quickly put out an apology out there to stop any further research into his fraudulent history. Afraid more will be dug up when they do. More time will tell probably. In either case I hope to see we can see legal charges pressed against him for frauding a number of players for at least a sum of $30,000 USD. To me this is not just a mistake a young guy makes, but it is an elaborate and clearly thought out master plan to steal.

As to his video I think Tim64 has the right of it. Any content of him that lingers online will increase the opportunity for him to fraud or steal again. This should not be permitted. However, if the content in the video is actually good(I didn't watch it) then it will be a clear loss for our community if ps.com take it offline. :f_cry:

If the contents is good then just strips the author's name.
Problem solved.

+1

This is exactly what came in my mind about it. This is only one video among hundreds if not thousands however good is not worth of keeping.

This guy is not just a scamer he simply a criminal. If anyone still from another person 1000 $ (or even less) in the "real word" I think every judge would send that person in jail what ever reason he did. I mean 30000$ (and maybe much more) is a big money. Maybe in high stakes poker community is "only" few buy ins, but in this case we should live in the real word where stealing this amount of money is a quite a crime.

The teaching video should be down asap. If it ever turns out to be totally different than what is being told right now, the site could re-instate it easily. But please, pull it out now. It's disgusting.

Everybody deserves his own opinion, but to me, it's really not a matter of discussion or reasoning. What this guy did happened in poker, not a drug peddling or shoplifting. He does not deserve anything.

Something doesn't add up. Almost looks like he wanted to get caught. :f_confused:

I totally agree with this.

Apparently in poker people often forget the real value of money - and of some attitudes. This is not only a matter of "ethics"; it's not like dubious or mild double-crossing during cheap table-talk. This is a case of essentially criminal behaviour towards large sums of money. If this guy does not deserve jail, many many schemers that are now on prison doing time for much less should be set free asap.

Since DIh wrote all his posts, except last one, (as he admits himself) he probably wrote him the text for video that he was so obviously reading (as many noticed before the scandal) .
So either hire Dih or delete **** video!
