Goddamn bad beats. Not too result-oriented today, especially since purplefizz brought it to my attention that I was slipping from my goals but goddamit bad beats suck!

On the other hand I'm almost through Moshman's book and it has quite some insights for the beginner. Definitely a very important read for someone starting out in sngs. Looking forward to finishing it off. Coupled with the silver articles and eventually, gold, there's a healthy arsenal waiting to be exploited ♠_evil:

Ok so I'm down 10BI but in his blog coach <3 said that he had learned that 10BI swings are normal so not panicking yet..
I need a statistics software so I can analyse better my game. My BR doesn't afford HEM yet and Elephant doesn't want to analyse my latest games on Everest for some reason, even though it's saying that they are imported. 
On the + side Gold status is firmly in sight 
So that's the end of a week I certainly won't miss! Let's hope tomorrow brings better things. Good night all and good luck at the tables.

I'm not sure if this is really normal or I'm really playing bad, although I am being awfully unlucky.
Anyway, I'm going to reduce playing a lot to make time for more reading and studying. Hopefully this will change things.
If anyone is reading, I'll post again here when things are looking better cos I don't want this blog to be too much of a downer!

So I've played more than 200 games now and the biggest lesson learned so far was that suck outs, bad beats and coolers are not only inevitable but necessary. You hear this from experienced players from time to time but I never really got it until I began to live it.
It seems that poker winnings come from being able to sustain these runs of bad luck, not only in $ but mentally, and then win some more. Poker is like a bicycle: Bankroll management to sustain losses is one wheel. Playing a lot of volume is the other. But if you want to go far you've got to steer with a lot of studying and sit on some mental discipline.
Am I rambling or growing? 
time will tell
