Buenas noche. Is anyone of you strategists playing the PL 5CD-event of the WCOOP tomorrow at 17.00 on PokerStars?
Gonna be great fun with many great 5CD-warriors. I have been close twice to make it to the final table. Unfortunately both times I was outdrawn by a spanish player.
The many good americans are gone this time. On the other hand there are many great players from Russia and Ukraine. I would be depressed however if the trophy went to either of these countries. I'll try to stand in the way at least.
These are a few users I think can be worth looking out for:
- U1ker (Russia, very good PL-cashgamer)
- CasinoIce (Iceland, strong merits in PL-tourneys and excellent cashgamer)
- Flfjord (Norway, strong tourney-player and cashgamer)
- Ranayr (Russia, quite new but very strong cashgamer)
- Drunka (Ukraine, veteran PL-cashgamer with good merits in WCOOP/SCOOP)
Wish you luck. Hope you crush them.
Meanwhile I will try to crush Russia and Ukraine at the cash tables 2/4 - 3/6.
I'm not very experienced in PL (played 2 $5+$0.50 on full tilt earlier this year and final tabled both with 150+ entrants) but I'm going to spend the FPP's I've been saving for a PS3 and have a go

I really would like tobut the Buy-In is much too high. Maybe i will try to win a Satilite Today. But whatever i hope EvGalois will crush the others and win this tourney ♠_grin:

Ah its a shame... I was last 80... Get KKK pre and raise standard... Gets to a cocaine-cowboy from Argentina in BB (meaning he plays like a madman). He raises I commit. He discards 2. I call the remainder of 10K as he bets out. Showdown for Pirata: 6666. It's ugly.. Pot was 48K to get back in contention... It's a shame...
Ah thats awful. And i know Pirata as i watching him palying for some minutes. He really seems not to know what he's doing isn't he?
I mean i know such situations from SnG where they call your raises discard three (and U have AA+) and then get 2-Pair or Trips. Thats the time i want to take my monitor and throw it out of the window ♠_evil: .

That is a good example! A maniac reraises like 99 to your AA++ and then develops to trips. Well I can on the other hand have a crazy range sometimes but many times I think my style at that particular point should give me more credit. I mean yesterday I was playing very, very tight IMO. I can count the times I bluffed: twice. Then if I reshove to Piratas 3-bet - at least he could consider that he is behind (guy snaps). But it's forgotten now.
No, I finished 87th and 66th was the first money spot. Player pool was 516 this year. Slightly lower than last year.
I got one thing right. One of my candidates above won: Ranayr from Elektrostal, Moscow. Pirata finished 5th which I think is too high. I thought he would blow his chips earlier to anyone decent. Guy who finished second, Martini777, well if I ask some of my "draw-colleagues" what they think of him, then they would just laugh. He has been a consistent loser for 3 years now but he was playing up too 5-10 PL in the beginning. He will donate his money to the 5CD player pool so it's fine. I was wrong about one player in U1ker. I don't think he is good in tournaments. He left early I believe. But congratulations to Ranayr! He is definitely a great player.
It is time to move on and look at the next draw event in TD Lowball.
