At most sites it is not possible to play SSS anymore, only at shallow tables. So if you want to play 6max, just go for 100bb.

20 bb would be 0.40. I buyin with 40bb = 0.80 and in the hand i posted i probaby won a small hand before?
Losing all in's wit 100BB hurts allot more, and i havent had a single hand yet where it would have been more profitable to have a100BBstack..

Well, you said yourself that you play shortstacked. Shortstacked is 20bb and you leave a table when you win 5bb.
Buying in for 40bb is MSS - Mid Stack Strategy. You can read those articles then. But also this strategy is optimised for full ring, not shorthanded tables...
So I suggest you again. If you want to play SH tables, play with 100bb stack (yes it hurts more when you loose, but it also feels better when you win more ;)). There are a lot of articles for silver members, that cover SH play. Read them.

As for hands:
AT hand - No need to 3bet preflop AT out of position after a raise from UTG and two callers. As played, I think it is ok to get it in against a maniac with TPTK.
TT hand - why open to 6bb, just make it 3 or 4... after flop with so short stack, I'd put it in with a small overpair also.
AKo hand - Why min raise? :f_confused:

Thanks for your response!
The last session i played i was buying in with 100BB and i did notice i made more profit. So your point is made on how this is better. However i currently i have a BR of 18$, this is only >9< buyins with 100BB.
Would it be wise to play MSS, so i have 20-22 buyins? or hope for an upswing with my 9buyins?

In response to the hands i must say you opend my eyes.
I cant remember why i 3bet with the AT. Im guessing that at the time, the 3bb raise looked like a blindsteal ( from the maniac ) so i most likely attempted a resteal there. Him NOT going allin told me he didnt have anything like TT+ in his hand so i assumed it was safe to get it in. Ah well, bad loss!

The TT i really cant explain, i have no clue why i openraised with 6bb. I didnt think he would be holding a straigt-draw after calling that call tho.

That AK minbet you mentioned i remember being a misclick, besides that did i play it wrong? Is going allin with AK too aggresive in a 3waypot?

Today my HEM trail ran out, so im looking into getting the best promotion. I'll be buying it with 18% discount with the PS disscount.

At first ill be buying small stakes as i wont be moving up for a while by the looks of it.

BR 18$

Last night i lost 2x allin with JJ, is it safe to assume that after a a 4bet, if a decent player pushes me allin, he has KK/AA(QQ)? According to HEM i havent ever won a allin with JJ with an apponent infront going allin ( in over 7k hands tracked now )

With that bankroll it is probably better to play MSS, but it is better to play it on full ring tables. Look at the articles for explanation why. ;)

Last hand: You were ahead (you had 72% to win) when you got money all in, so no problem there. :)

So today for me is a bad day. I cant seem to decide what game to play.
I play a better 6max game ( or atleast i think so ) but i keep getting told to play FR. Why should i be playing FR at first? Its usualy so full of nits, any raise is folded back to me.
However in 6max i can make a decent amount of affective Cbets and blind resteal's, where at FR i appears that every calling player is holding a toppair?

Now is this just me losing my mind? Im looking for a response from several players here. Master my FR or SH game?

Tbh I haven't studied the MSS at all, but you are right that there are a whole lot of nits in FR and it's a lot harder to get paid off with your big hands. However, if you were going to play a BSS game I would recommend you play FR first with your BR, as because of the more aggressive nature of SH and the lighter stack off ranges, SH can be quite swingy so with a small BR there's a good chance you can go broke :)

Right! That makes sense, the profits are less but the ranges are tighter, so i know what im up against more often? This is the idea behind it i guess?
Ill do a session in FR now then.

To get back at ;

Maybe try Pokertracker3 trial first and invest that money in your micro roll? Or use pokerstrategy's Elephant.

My pokertracker trail has expired a few days ago, i had it a while ago but switched to HEM in the last week of my trail. I do have elephant installed now, so ill give that a shot.

BSS FR 6Tables session incoming.

This afternoon my session went pretty well, i made some profit and found a big leak in my game too.

The big drops in the graphs are due to ;

As you can see im loosing alot of JJ/QQ allin's to tight players. If i from now on fold my JJ/QQ to a shove coming from a TAG, my graphs should start looking pretty good, agree?
I felt this was a real eye opener. ** 3-4Bet JJ/QQ, but dont call a All-in raise ( from a TAG )

Current BR $21.75, should have been 25$+ but hey i learnt a valueable lesson today.

I played 8-10 2NLFR tables during this session and that didnt seem a problem at all.

Allright so i learned some nice tricks today, i also completely understand Odds/Pot Odds and what +EV means.

Now i want to play some poker and i find nothing but full tables, the ones available being vpip 10%..

Now knowing most money i earn comes directly from fish/loose players, how am i supposed to make money (safely) during the day ?

I'd like to hear how the 'pro's on this site do it? What do they play, when they play their 10hours a day game? What should i be playing if i choose to do a session during the day?

Another question; How is casino poker? I'm thinking of going to play some poker in a casino on a friday or saturday night. What nights are casino's mostly visited by 'fun-players' and therefore be the most profitable night? ( i can imagine that the good players will be there this night too, so thats why i ask )

What is the usual blind level at a casino? ( I live in Holland and was thinking about a Holland Casino because its the most commercial here )

So PLEASE guys share your knowledge with me.

Heres something that apparently works well on the mind, and my blog-reader count;

Tomorrow i have 2 hours of class, an hour at the gym and the rest of the day for poker.

I ask again; What tables arent too nitty during the day?

Played a pretty horrible run this afternoon.. Could be because a fried dropped by in the middle of the session ( He insisted i kept playing ). It also could be variance, but what exactly can be called variance? Bad losses?

As you can see, thats pretty bad.. Not only do i lose alot, the profits are hardly anything. ( This is because of the EXTREMELY tight players at every table in the day time, how can i make a decent profit with all these nits folding my action? )

I could go on for hours but you get the point, i lost allot of hand i should have won, this got to me and caused me to lose more..
A damn shame, i was getting pretty confident of my game.
But no big deal! My weekend started today so i have plenty of time to catch up.

Could someone comment on how they think, i would do, at 5NL?

I just lost my cool and im down to 37$ BR. I'm going out now to cool off, maybe more tonight..

** Playing to catch up for losses made earlier, is NOT a correct mindset and results into gambling. From now on im playing with a 3 BI stoploss
