I played some more last night. Played better than in the daytime, but only got up to 40$ BR. Was back up to 45$ at one point but i got some harsh hands;

Is this avoidable? As is, could i have played it better in this situation?

What should i learn next? I have basicly all the articles coverd for silver. What do you guys think is the one big thing im missing in my mind?

Today was intresting to say the least!
Was down 8$ at one point, and up 8$ now! Making 16$ in ~1000hands is quite good i think! ( 45bb/100 )

This graph is 3 sessions;
1st being 00;00 till about 01;00
2nd 12;00 till 14;00
3rd is from 17;00 till 18;45
I find it really intresting how the time of day affects my winrate and mindset.
**Playing at night doesnt seem to pay off for me, im making mistakes and generally not finding any playable tables (Weekends exception)..

The night session went very bad here are some hands;

Now i feel very very annoyed with a BR of $58;45 something. I think its best if i dont play for atleast an hour. Im down 6$ ( I allready was once earlier today )

GRRRRR theres nothing i can say really, my good cards havent done much for me today.

EDIT ; Nope, it would affect me to much if i was to play again today. Its wisest for me to have a nice saturday evening, Only having lost 6$ / €4 thats not to bad.
I cant beleive how angry i am atm. Strange to feel this mad at a game.

** Im up 18$ from my initial buyin, im doing allright. This cant upset me that much, i was trying to hard to get the money in.

After calming down, my conclusion is the following;

I ups and downs all week, saying to myself. It will all balance out saturday, somany fish online i just have to make atleast 5$.
My high expectations vs low results + allot of time put into = TILT.
I have to accept that i will not be rewarded for my effort/time for a long while.

**The mindset is to become a good player, not to win lots of money on a saturday. If i make a mistake, chill out. Learn from it, even if i make it again. CHILL OUT, LEARN FROM IT!

Emotions (tilt) is caused when expectations are not met.

Expecting to win money in poker is dangerous, since we can't control the outcome of what cards are dealt.

By expecting to play your best, and nothing else, you stand a much better chance at staying tilt-free.

:)

Those are some wise words i'll really have to burn into my brain.

Dont you secretly look forward to the weekends? Because the average winrate should be slightly higher?

vonki

Sure I do look forward to them, and I know they're a great time to play, but I don't expect to win more, or even to win at all.

One thing to keep in mind is that the more fish, the more variance. If they call you down more often, they're also likely to outdraw you more often.

It's important to remember that just because your winrate SHOULD be higher, it's not sure it's going to be. Far from it actually.

I don't check my short term results, so I won't know until way later how things went. If I just focus on playing my best at all times I should be making money and my play is the only thing I can control myself thus the only thing that should matter.

Ofc it's easier said than done and I fuck up sometimes and get affected by bad runs aswell but the more you try not to be, the easier it will get. It requires a ton of effort and time, but I think it's essential for a winning pokerplayer. :f_grin:

In general i am focussing on playing +EV. But after 4 hours playing, and hardly any profit, it got to me. ( I have to stop constantly checking my profits of the day ) :(
Every day i come up with new idea's to keep cool and focus on +EV.
I just watched nr1 of your Pink Performance series, that was a good video! Ill watch the others too soon!

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A♠, K♥
MP1 raises to $0,04, Hero raises to $0,12, 2 folds, BU raises to $0,36, 4 folds, BU gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $0,31

I folded, because the apponent was showing 8/3 . What cards can he PFR with 3%?
Was i wrong folding AK? As you can see my bet was allready a 3bet, but him 3betting me, with 8/3 just gave me the feeling he was holding AA. I avoided being stacked in my opinion. What would you guys do in such a situation?

If his pfr was only 3% i would say it was good play to fold :)
Do you have equilab?

Tournaments are defenetly anti -> Yab.

I Played a 0.25 45man , a 0.50 45man and a freeroll on Partypoker.

All 3 of them i was stack leader, up till someone dubbles up on me, on a flush-draw allin. 3 times! Left with 20% of my stack i couldnt do much more than push all in with the best next pocketpairs, lost them 3 times to a overpair on the board..

Its fun tho! I made 2$ in a 6max game, so ending for now with 65$BR

I just found 'The Poker Mindset' PDF online. Gives me a good read during this week when the tables are tight!

**I learnt a sweet trick from the book! Whenever i feel some emotions at the table. Write down what kind of, and what caused them. From there on i can easily recognize such emotions. This makes it easier to avoid these situations, or learn to live with this emotion without tomuch consequences. Eg. [Ohh im very annoyed, my note says i was before, at a bad beat. This is a bad beat to! /CarryOnPlaying ]

Note to self ;

Today i got accepted for Vonki & Wriggers 's mentoring. Im sure that after theyre done with me, i'l be a pretty good pokerplayer.
My first session with Vonki was good, not much post-flop action but i got to understand how profitable 4bets can be and also to not 3-bet AK against a UTGraiser.
I got to see how Vonki demonstrated her reading skills and damn their sharp!

I enjoyed the session and am looking forward to playing some hands tomorrow.

* I also bought HEM via the Pokerstrategy Bonus tonight.

Losing pocket AA to someone who has 57 offsuit is pretty common in micro stakes
I faced the same problem when i was restricted to the 5NL limit

Made all the way upto 100$ in a month. Then had a tilt session, played out of my BR and boom down to 40$ now climbing back again

Play on FR for now
Watch tons of videos and try to note the betting patterns of your opponents. Dont feel sad folding AA kk qq post flop if the boards represents obvious flushes and loads of draws with too many people in it

Playing with K5 and only calling with AA is not good your bound to get into trouble
