Hand #3 (same happened to me too last night)

at small stakes people only usually raise with hands that are god or they think are good. so when the baord is k79 and we bet with aces and he raises he is never going to fold a king, so its really good to re raise and try and get all the money in now in case a scare card comes and he folds the turn or river and we miss out on lots of value. however i did not like that he flopped trips ~ just like my opponent did.

i get your point, but after we raise and get 3bet on the flop I doubt he would do that with his Kx hands, I'm more inclined to think that he would call down then. It's not so easy ar small/micro stakes because you get so many different opponents afterwards I think the play w AA is "okay" you just have to take a note on that player that he takes this line with a set, you probably won't see him again at your table anyways.

Today I move up to 5NL. My roll now is ~100$. I'll move down if I get down to 75$. In the evening I'll post some hands from the session

I've played 4k hands at NL5 during the weekend. Didn't play well tho, I tend to make some huge huge bluffs 250bb deep but get none respect, it's just a leak I've to get rid off. Still the most profit I make is with non-SD, I def. have to keep hammering but just fold if get played back. Heres an example where my aggresion is just too much.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.05(BB) Replayer
SB ($5.29)
BB ($6.66)
UTG ($5.62)
CO ($11.08)
Hero ($12.48)

Dealt to Hero A♦ 7♦

fold, CO raises to $0.15, Hero raises to $0.45, fold, fold, CO calls $0.30

FLOP ($0.97) 5♦ K♦ J♣

CO checks, Hero bets $0.60, CO calls $0.60

TURN ($2.17) 5♦ K♦ J♣ 3♣

CO checks, Hero bets $1.55, CO raises to $3.10, Hero raises to $11.43 (AI), CO calls $6.93 (AI)

RIVER ($22.23) 5♦ K♦ J♣ 3♣ K♣

CO shows 3♦ K♥
(Pre 34%, Flop 57.4%, Turn 81.8%)

Hero shows A♦ 7♦
(Pre 66%, Flop 42.6%, Turn 18.2%)

CO wins $21.13

giving respect to min check raises is something I'm struggling with :)

Somehow I didn't marked any hands during the weekend sessions. I will try to post some hands where I think most of you don't barrel enough, which is something I don't see from regs at this limit at all. IMO It's just a lack of handreading abillitys. But as said I'm probably doing it too much because as you can see in my graph my showdown winnings aren't very good. Overall it's going in the right direction, I could run a little better of course.I lost some huge key hands, but I don't wanna bother you with badbeats storys becaue as we all know, nobody cares :)

phew, today I got felted pretty bad. lost like every huge pot :(

after being up 5 stacks I ended up being down 4 stacks and I felt that I started tilting again so I decided to quit and write something about my marked hands from today.

BB ($5.26)
UTG ($5)
UTG+1 ($5)
CO ($5)
Hero ($20.14)

BB bets $1.05, Hero calls $1.05

TURN ($3.57) 7♣ 2♦ 9♣ 4♥

BB bets $2.55, Hero folds

BB wins $3.40

UTG raiser was a TAG with a high fold 2 3bet so I decided to flat, normaly I'd 3bet there. Then a nit squeezes from the blinds and I didn't really know what to do. I felt my hand is underrepped alot but on the other hand a nit doensn't look out for things like that (i guess). I decided to call and let go the turn as I doubt he would double barrel air there.

Hand #2

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.05(BB) Replayer
SB ($3.60)
BB ($3.97)
Hero ($12.99)

Hero raises to $0.15, fold, BTN raises to $0.25, fold, fold, Hero raises to $1, BTN calls $0.75

FLOP ($2.07) 6♠ T♠ 3♣

Hero checks, BTN bets $3.60, Hero raises to $9.55, BTN calls $1.46 (AI)

TURN ($12.19) 6♠ T♠ 3♣ Q♠

RIVER ($12.19) 6♠ T♠ 3♣ Q♠ 5♠

Hero shows 9♠ 9♣
(Pre 54%, Flop 72.7%, Turn 84.1%)

BTN shows J♣ A♣
(Pre 46%, Flop 27.3%, Turn 15.9%)

Hero wins $11.59

Villain was a overaggro donk with 50% over 46 hands. I 4bet 99 for value with the intension to get it in pre. When he flats I put him on some crappy hand or weaker pairs. Against such an aggresive player (AF 5.0) I didn't got for a flop cbet and when he overbets the flop I lold and was pretty sure I'm good.

Hand #3

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.05(BB) Replayer
SB ($5)
BB ($4.24)
UTG ($8.96)
Hero ($16.71)
CO ($6.99)
BTN ($2)

Dealt to Hero 6♥ 3♥

UTG raises to $0.15, Hero calls $0.15, fold, fold, fold, fold

FLOP ($0.37) K♣ 9♣ 3♠

UTG bets $0.10, Hero calls $0.10

TURN ($0.57) K♣ 9♣ 3♠ 6♠

UTG bets $0.30, Hero raises to $1.25, UTG raises to $2.20, Hero raises to $16.46 (AI), UTG calls $6.51 (AI)

RIVER ($17.99) K♣ 9♣ 3♠ 6♠ J♥

UTG shows A♠ A♥
(Pre 81%, Flop 81.6%, Turn 18.2%)

Hero shows 6♥ 3♥
(Pre 19%, Flop 18.4%, Turn 81.8%)

Hero wins $17.10

Villain is a huge fish and saw me bluffing a ton so I play like any playable hand against him in position. I would get tigther if he gets under 100bb but with stacks over 100bb I kept playing loose against him and try to play alot postflop poker against him. This kind of players (43/27 AF 2.0) mostly play pretty obv postflop so you just can pound on weaknes and fold if they seem strong. It's important tho that if you raise a weak turn bet bet the river again, imo :)

booooom!
just broke the 200$ mark and now will be playing 10NL. I post some deeper thoughts and graphs tomorrow. Really happy with how it went and how I stayed focused about my goal even when running like shit.Had a few session where I turned a 10bi downsing into a 6-8bi upswing. Microstakes def. are a pain in the ass :) but ppl are lolbad. I really doubt that playing a 14/10 style will help you become a good poker player.
