I want to know what is a good profit limit to reach, say for a 0.05/0.10 NL holdem game? And the same for limit?
Is there say a rule of thumb to say if you are up 10 or say 20 big blinds then its a good play for the seesion? is there enybody playing this way?

IMO you should have no stop loss on a winning session. If you are having a good session you should even play longer than normal. You should only create a stop loss for losing sessions.
its not bad to set a stop loss limit even if you win!
if you are winning say 4-5buy in you can reset your stop limit to 2buy in so you can leave the session with a good profit no matter how bad it turns out .
also a win rate around 10bb/100 hands is good enough
good enough? 10bb/100 hands is fucking awesome if you can keep that steady for any decent sample size.
You cannot judge your winnings over 1 Session alone.
Some of my sessions are -170B/100, then another one 200BB/100, sometimes i'll break even.
You need to look at your BB/100 over a good sample of hands.
Take my last few sessions as an example:
36BB/100
-1BB/100
-44BB/100
78BB/100
-49BB/100
40BB/100
35BB/100
You cant judge your play on any of them sessions, i've only just started playing this limit so at 3500 Hands i'm 11.5BB/100. None of them sessions are even close to that! But i'm still at a small volume so if i were to lose a couple of buyins it would change dramatically.
