wow, kababayan, how many times have you deposited? :f_o:

you're playing in pokerstars right? when i started there, i deposited $100, and played the 25cents 90 man SnGos. so yeah, i'm such a BRM nit! then moved up to $1.50 90 man knockout and was able to earn well from them. followed the charts at the start, and developed my game from then.

i suggest you re.read all the articles. especially that you're gold status now, you have access to most articles. as for you, read BRM 10 times! ahaha

if you want, join me in 888. play cash game, play tight, earn money. easy game.

hoping to see an uphill graph from you soon!!

add me on skype, glenjumilla. so that i could add you in our pinoy poker group and we can regularly chat there. :)

good luck on the tables! oops, what i mean is, good play on the tables! :P

Hello kabayan!

I only deposit once....... once a month hahaha, sad but so true :f_frown: . Last month started applying "some" BRM and it kinda helped, I'm into 5th week now although BR is at low level, at least not busto yet :f_biggrin:. One thing that drives me into higher limits out of BRM is the opportunity for deposit bonus although am not sure if the benefits outweigh the loss in play. At the lower limits, it takes forever to cash in on the bonus! Will try the 90 man SNG suggestions too.

Yep playing mostly at Stars and sometimes Party. Maybe 888 sometime, heard it is growing in traffic. Would love the uphill graph soon but have my doubts still, I'd be happy with a flatline
Will checkout my skype setting soon...

Re-read articles, BRM 10x, definitely! One of my weakness is I read but do not apply, need to change that this 2012...Likewise, good play on the tables!

Hey FruitNinja

Are you a Fruit Ninja reg? If so we should hook up on Game Center so I can destroy you.

Hello Matt,

Never tried the net/game center and am fairly certain I will be demolished if we play :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin:
When we first got Ipad, Fruit Ninja was one of the first games we installed and naturally the family got hooked on that and so the competition began. Mostly played the 1 minute arcade game and I was title holder at 472 for quite some time, but couple of weeks ago the daughter comes up ecstatic at 500+, so the challenge is on me now. I'm hearing that scores on this game goes way much higher and reaching even 1000+, is this true?!
Which games do you play and your score ranges?

I haven't played it obsessively like I used to for a good while now but my scores were:

Arcade: 1275
Zen: 312
Classic: 900ish

It's not something I should be proud of because if you saw me play, you weren't thinking: "wow, that guy has good reactions and co-ordination", you were thinking: "wow, that guy plays WAY too much Fruit Ninja"

I'd say WOW to 1275, so it does happen! That is a tough score to beat! Yeah me too, less Fruit Ninja time nowadays, being grabbed by poker time.

Yeah but I've only gotten over 1000 three times.

I'd say Arcade mode is a lot like tournament poker, it requires a hell of a lot of luck.

Anyway, sorry everyone for the derailing. Let's talk poker again

My arms are still sore a bit. Had a round of golf yesterday. Dropped a par and a birdie along the way. Score was 60! But enough about the front 9, the back nine was even better at 56!

Signature hole of The Riviera Golf Club (17th hole, Langer course), Silang, Cavite

Spoiler

the hole I Parred. View is from where you tee off...

After 3 years of striving with the sport, and logging in only my 3rd birdie, and still not having a handicap below 36, I am coming to the conclusion that Golf is a difficult game hahaha. :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin:

Everyone knows if you can double up on the first hand of the tournament you're guaranteed to make the final table _cool:

Ooooohhhhh.... I did not know that. My intention was to double up too actually. So some algorithm to give you good cards if you double up early eh? Yeah, sometimes I notice those with high stacks get good cards most of the times and sweep the small ones out of the tourney!

Deposited $60, 6 weeks ago, double this up in a month's time, then swing down to "$0" in 2 weeks :(

Reflecting back, I applied some BRM, but I guess a big factor on this was I did not have any stop loss criteria for the day. I have to set something up. I think playing too many variations and limits could have affected this also (FL, NL, SNG, MTT, ). Need to focus...probably play majority NL2 for February.

9 months into this and still graph is sloping downwards.

A question for the guys who now have graphs that has a steady climb:

How long did it take you before it stabilized going up?

it happens all the time

was it a free roll, if so the impatient fish will try to double up early or just bust.... they don't care

stay away from them in early stages

i will and do fold AA, KK.AK to allinners in the first couple of levels simply because 75bb is too much to call for basically a coin flip, and depending on posiyion and the number of fish, u may not be able to get heads up which is best scenario even with AA

odd isn't it that u were probably dreading him turning over AK and u were probably relieved to see 10 3o

ummm, no offense Lazza, but kababayan, please don't follow this suggestion. Preflop, always ship AA and KK given a chance . . . . . . . . all the time!!!!

Nope, was not a freeroll, but just 10fpp's...

Looks like both your inputs got merits of their own....

AA, KK high chance I'll ship most times...
But AK am now not so sure when, in early stage and with many players already in.

thanks!

no offense taken : freerolls, i stand by what i said. With the high number of fish u must be certain of getting hu. Also i'll never donk 1500 in a 30 pot in case i'm not called. For me best scenario is standard raise and see what happens.

Can even employ squeeze if there are are fish among them willing to flat call.

Please don't bag me. i've been sucked out too many times on AA KK AK i early stages of freeroll just because i got too many callers. Remember 70% favourite
HU only about 40% for three handed and anymore it just gets grimmer.

Incidentally once u get above $1 MTT the number of fish proportianately decrease so u can play a more standard game where people will respect your raises and your position at the table.

Best adage "Play poker with poker players, not gamblers

pretend hand

u =AA
p1= 77
p2=10h 9h
p3= A5

flop 2h 3h 7s

how would u feel now, i felt bloody ordinary

turn 4h

and just to wind me up the case ace rivered

this is as close as i remember the hand

Me set aces
P1 set sevens
P2 flush
P3 straight

it's a minefield out there

anyway best of luck on your journey and i'll see if i can post anything else to polarise the community

Hey Lazza,

Anyone who plays poker knows your pretend hand is not a pretend hand, it happens!
Point taken, will be carefull next time around (esp freerolls). Thanks.

Hi guys,

Yep you will run into the situation where opponents want to go all in with whatever they have.

When you have AA like in the above situation, you will be putting in only 25% of the money. Before deciding you should fold here, run equilab and see what percentage of the time you will win the pot.

Poker is about making correct decisions. Folding AA with an equity edge is not going to be correct.

i called it a pretend hand because that's as near as i remember it. It was second hand of 9000 player Hubble Freeroll on Pokerstars.
