Guys i whanted to know your opinions on this ACTA thing is this global contract will totaly screw up the internet as we know today?
If you dont know what is ACTA then here you can take a look what it is all about...
There are lot of protest going on about this ACTA thing, like group anonymous i think is the bigest protestors right now.
i personally don't see this happening. as far as i understand it, it's up to the internet providers to sift through and report users/ customers to authorities. it would only take one company to disregard this and establish it's self as user friendly for the whole thing to fall apart. what IP would use it's resources to lose customers?
i could be wrong though.
As far as i understand (I might be wrong aswell) it gives gouvernments the power to sue the ISPs that don't 'take care' of their clients affairs.
It could not be as big of a conspiracy the internet/anonymous make it look, but it's certainly not a good thing and it can affect the big websites we all use and even poker.
