What are the common mistakes of poker player?

Playing pocket aces online.

- Use bankroll management;
- Stay tight (follow charts);
- Play only at a few tables;
- Try not to be angry if you lose some $, but if you do get angry, take a break;
- Don't play if you're frustrated, bored, hungry, sleepy, etc;
- Always keep learning (read articles, watch videos, post hands, attend coachings, etc);
- And if you're playing, than focus on it and don't do anything else like checking mails, browsing forum, wathing a movie, etc.

i think these are the most important rules as a beginner poker player so I think breaking these rules is the most common mistake among beginners.

I was playing everything SNGs Tourneys cash games and using same strattegy pretty much for all.

I would stick with 1 type and read up on 1 type will save yourself alot of time and money

Paying attention to other players is another important one. It's very useful to know which players raise lots and which ones fold 30 hands in a row.

For absolute beginners:

- Setting unrealistic goals (which are unreachable due to current ability).
- Having too high of an expectation, without logic and reason behind it.
- Playing without prior education, so end up eventually being eager to learn after making a substantial loss (happens to most).
- Not knowing they're a beginner and not coming to terms with the fact (probably first hurdle).
- Not being able to appreciate that Poker is an expansive game with huge amounts of theory behind it.
- Being results orientated.
- All of the above posts.
