Updated on my challenge: FAILED

Not much to say really, just a lot disappointed in myself. I will take a few days to think about what I will do next...

Final numbers are

Games played: 672/1000
Games won: 341
Games lost: 331

Unfortunately I had to withdraw some money to pay rent this month and my bankroll currently stands at ~$750. Still enough to play the 15s, turbos or hyperturbos and maybe 30s turbos but I have to get familiar with the turbos first.

Hello boys and girls,

It's been a while since my last post but nothing interesting happened poker related since then. My bankroll is a bit more than 500$ but I did withdrew around 400$ in the meantime so I can't actually say things went bad but not great either.

I didn't get the chance to play as much as I did until now, I will definitely loose my platinum status on pokerstars next month, at the moment I'm not sure if I can make gold but hopefully I will. There were several reasons for my low volume

1. I was away for a couple of days... 2 days for a short trip to Liverpool to see the game against Spurs and 4 days for a short break with my girlfriend in Bruges.

2. I am not sure at the moment what to do next as I still believe I can make it as a poker player but I find really hard to move up to the limits when I need to withdraw large amounts of money every single month.. I might try to get a job for a short period and play poker only part time in that period, or maybe get a job for about a year or so, put some money aside, and then move to Romania and try to play there where the cost of living is way cheaper then in London and I wouldn't play so money oriented all the time.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I'm still here and still playing, didn't give up yet. Although bankroll is too small I'm still very confident in playing the 15s HT and even the 30s turbo.

I'll leave you guys with a picture I took in Bruges

All the best,
Stefan

Just came across this blog, so hope you keep plugging away at it. Been quite the journey so far.

Interesting to see you go through the same some of ups/downs with most players, but unlike others, hope you persevere to continue and do good things with it.

Chin up champ.

Thanks kolonel, I really appreciate it :)

Unfortunately things are not going so well at the moment, the only way they could be worse was if I would bust all my bankroll. And this can happen anytime soon. For the moment I am only rolled to play the 7s, and I am taking some shots at some MTT's but nothing spectacular yet.

Since my last post a few things have changed. First of all I decided to apply for some jobs that I like, jobs that I see myself doing and enjoying, there's one in particular that I really want and if somehow I get it, it would really put things in perspective if I get it.

One thing is clear though I really do need a job at the moment so if I get something that I like and do it for 2,3,5 -30 years from now on than that would be perfect. If not I would apply for something I already have experience in and then decide if I want to specialize myself in different areas in my spare time or just continue playing poker part time. I will always play poker but it might come a time when I will only have time to play it for fun, with a couple of beers next to my laptop.

Anyway, pokerwise, bankroll is at around 200$ ;(, don't think I would get even gold status at pokerstars for March and don't even want to make that a target. I have 3 more days of playing this month and then I will be flying to Romania for 2 weeks. I hope I can play there as well, but not really sure about the internet connection available there. I will probably stay at my parents house for the most part and I have a mobile thingy which I know it works well but not sure how stable it is. Oh well, I guess I will see it on Thursday..

That's all for the moment, good luck all! :f_p:
