Well poor show on the updates...
It turns out I'm not very good at 5 Card Draw and that PokerHeavens lack of games running is slightly tilting. I'll try and put some graphs together tomorrow though I can't seem to find a way to graph my hands from PH. I ended up playing Turbo SNGs for the most part on there and have withdrawn my whole roll to put somewhere else. I ended up around +e275 incl rakeback to come Jan 1st. I'm toying with the idea of playing some superturbo's again whilst continuing to play draw on stars. My cash games there have been rough but I FT'd (4th) the $20 Draw MTT again (that's 2/2 !!) so my roll has survived.
The weekly live game I play has had two interesting weeks, a fortnight ago I ran really well and finished +£80 but last week was one to remember. One guy (an old friend of mine) had been paid that day so decided to sit with £100 - 500BB's for our £0.10/£0.20 game. Another friend followed suit so I thought it would be rude not to... Ended up about 90£ down after an AIPF with TT facing a £20 preflop blind bet/straddle !! He called with KQo and won and I spent the next few hours clawing back to even before bluffing (spew) right near the end to finish -£25.
Mrs n and I have had the now annual ritual of her playing Brian Clough to my insubordinate player in that I think we shouldn't spoil the kids at Christmas. So we sit down, talk about how much we'd like to spend and then decide that she's right. Bah humbug.

Um, the bulk of the +275 on Poker Heaven came from the Turbo SNG's and rb + bonus. I didn't win the MTT's but thanks 
3rd/4th, I put it mostly down to variance, it gets pretty random in the latter stages. My cash 5CD results on Pokerstars are pretty poor and as that's where I've played the most, that's what I'm basing my self assessment on.

Christ, I'm shit at blogging. Happy new year to all.
Lots going on, no time to breathe, seem to have taken more on than I need to. For example I offered to count the snack money every Friday for them at my daughters preschool, only 15 minutes/week, nice. Within a fortnight of me starting they obviously saw that I was a complete volunteer fish, soft spot and I now count the snack money on a Friday, deal with the petty cash, invoices for school fees, occasionally wash the pots. I believe I have the title of Assistant Treasurer, though I think Head Mug may be more appropriate.
This along with the kids, sporadic work, practicing the piano again every day, playing poker online, playing poker live... I allow myself around 6hrs sleep a night, I'm sure I'll do fine - it's two more than Maggie Thatcher, hopefully I'll be 1.5x less of an arsehole ?
Live poker wise I have more swings than a driving range, was on the right end this week with +£98. Played a bit of dealers choice - one friend of mine was picking PL5C Triple Draw ! Only went and got dealt 4h4c4s4d2c Pre 1st Draw !! Managed to play for stacks and it set the tone for running well for the night. We get deeper and deeper every week, so many more interesting spots with 250-500 BB's.
Online poker I run like god obv because I'm back to superturbo's, once I fix my HEM2 cloud db I'll get all the results together and post some graphs.

No, no, no ! Well, maybe a name change but not R.I.P. I have a grand plan, reading back through my blog you see that I'm nicely profitable in Super Turbo's but they don't keep my attention. So.. rather than flipping to HU/6-Max cash on a whim I've seperated my BR leaving some on Pokerstars so that when I feel the odd night that I need a change I'll play 5CD where I know I can always find tables and where it won't affect my Super Turbo BR. Yay.

Playing dealers choice down the pub, just invented the game Drawmaha. Epic 3-way allin 1st hand!
Epic home game on Wednesday, played ~20 variants of poker and booked a £50 win. Hold 'Em, Omaha, Omaha H/L, Stud, Razz, Baltimore, Pineapple, San Francisco, 5CD, 5C Double Draw, 2-7 Triple Draw, Badugi, Spit in the Ocean, Drawmaha, Drawmaha 2.0, Derbyshire Bingo, Super Gutman, The Good The Bad & The Ugly... can't even remember some of the other crap we played.
One game of Spit lead to 4 lots of Quads and one of 5 of a kind (in a 6 handed game!) Luckily I had position, so me and the guy behind got away from 3's and T's respectively leaving QQQQx vs QQQQx vs 66666. There was also a £50 Omaha H/L pot where all three players went for the Low pot, the guy who won it also scooped the Hi with Ace-Hi !
Volume online hasn't been great since Monday, only played another 60 games or so but won heavily again. More updates soon.

Every day I'm shuffling. Playing a lot more the last week or so, managed 25-30 hours/week 4-6 tabling. Tried to take on the $20's but they quickly found the huge hole's in my game (mainly just playing wayyyyyyy to nitty). Dropped $1200 before I figured this out 
Now I'm back at the $10's and reviewing properly (as opposed to not at all previously!). Still much work to do on my deeper stacked play multi handed as well as HU though I feel that with 4-5 hours play every day I'm making natural adjustments and getting stronger.
Here come the pain...
Family is well, we've taken to bribing my daughter to keep her in her room at night as asking nicely wasn't really reaping the expected results. For a few months now she's gotten progressively worse and it's one of those things we just sat back and let happen until it became a big problem. She took to getting out of bed and jumping in ours, we were too tired to argue so left her. Then we started putting her back and she started crying, this didn't work so she started SCREAMING, seriously, I thought on a couple of the nights the neighbours would phone the police or something... fucking 4AM for 45mins solid !! This began happening 4 or 5 times a night and was cracking me and mrs n up.
Alongside this she was finding it harder to let go of me when I dropped her at preschool, she'd just settled but obviously the broken sleep and feeling like we weren't there at night for her rolled over to the day so guess what she started doing...
Every freaking day. It's not like she doesn't like it there, she doesn't in fact want to leave when I go and pick her up! There's something uncomfortably unpleasant about having your child scream and being unable to stop them but Jesus, when it's in public surrounded by other parents whose kids just wave goodbye and cheerfully stroll past us into the classroom it's just painful.
So... the answer: Parenting manual ? Softly spoken words of encouragement ? Shout back ?

We let her choose and got her a star chart, 5 straight days of uninterrupted sleep and no screaming at preschool and she could have her treat. Worked a charm... Today is the 5th day. I'm just waiting for the point where it clicks in her head that she could have a rather nice Pony collection by just playing the arse every now and then and 5 years later...
