BACK ON TOPIC: It's a bad move because sooner or later the majority of the regs will leave = less rake income from their "best rakers". Fish rake is very small compared to regs.

So, given the grinder: recreational ratio on most sites, I don't understand how discriminating against the grinders can make so much difference, but then I know little about how poker rooms actually work, so it's just an opinion.

Not sure what the issue with all this is. Clearly Everleaf banning people for anything but fraud or cheating is wrong, but what other examples are we talking about it here really? The whole issue seems a bit of a straw man to me unless we have more examples to discuss. Some more specifics please Korn?

Hi there. I am an poker pro and I am curious how long do you think it will be still possible to play for a living? I feel the difference. Games are getting tough and almost everybody at least know what he is doing. Its super rare to spot a fish on a medium stake+ . But on the other hand there might be poker boom in Asia which might be next biggest poker market (India + China = cca 1/3 of world entie population). Or there might be some type of fusion between social networks and poker sites ( real money Zynga etc. ).

I'm afraid the current overraked model is unsustainable. With up to 20bb/100 raked games (PLO), fish will lose too quickly and stop playing because they never win. Even the +10bb/100 before rake winning player loses unless he gets >50% rakeback.
With much lower rake fish will win once in a while and are more likely to keep playing. And regulars can have decent winrates and don't have to 20+ table to live of rakeback. So reduce rake a lot, limit the amount of tables one can play to 10 (improves reg/fish ratio and speeds up play) and make online poker a fun and/or profitable experience.
I strongly agree with his thoughts on Zynga, and how successful they are. I can't believe that people pay money for fake chips and 'coins', its amazing. Need a poker room like Zynga to attract those casuals aka fish.
