First time I see somebody putting in some gym goals! That's nice by the way. I visit the gym as well for like 4 years now. How much do you weight? Do you take any supplements, are you on a diet? Food/sleep are the 2 most important factors for your muscle gain and then comes the training, but you probably know this already. Deadlifting is the nuts! But a friend of mine got injured doing it, so the technique is pretty important. I am not sure I am doing it 100% correctly either. Belt helps. Anyway, good luck with your goals and I will be following the blog!

Got to work on them guns :f_biggrin: lol, What you currently focusing on in the gym strength training, body mass or weight loss? I currently weigh 96kg.Just take whey protein to fill in the protein surplus in my nutrition.Pop a few vitamins and some cod liver oils as well nothing too crazy. :f_biggrin: . I try get most of my diet through whole foods as opposed to supplements.Ya i try get 6 hours of sleep a day. Ya techniques real important when it comes to heavy a$$ weight .Especially deadlifting cos it can mess up your back.Maybe you should ask someone in the gym to check out your technique. This guys videos helped me with some of my techniques some nice tips in there > http://www.dieselsc.com/training-index .Thanks same to you best of luck in your poker career and goals :)

So finally finished my coaching with Jaxtraw4 and feeling real confident in my game at the moment.Peter basically asked why the hell I was still playing the $7s which felt good to be honest:D The reason I think I haven't moved up yet was the fact I was questioning my game and unsure about my ability in poker. No confirmation that I was a winning player so to speak.

Gonna take Peters advice and try mix in some $15s in my sets. Probably 2 games of $15s and 6 games of $7 .This should help me clear my $50 stellar reward aswell which I currently need 2700 VPPs not alot but exams coming up in a few weeks so I obviously wont get in as many games as Id like and also Il be heading over to London during the Christmas time to family so I ideally want to get that done before then. Have some $$ coming in next month so if the worst was to happen I can always top up my account so bankrolls not really a problem.

Not much going on for a Friday night pretty bad weather out so decided to stay in play some poker and probably watch a dvd. This movie looks pretty awesome

Yo! So you take some coaching from Peter as well? He is def. worth the money and has a great game understanding ( that doesn't mean I don't respect the other coaches around). Just move up the limit as he suggest. You can make some decent money playing the 15$'s by the way. As for gym training- I try to gain some mass during the winter months. I have a really fast metabolism, which I like, but it's hard to gain weight. I am like 75-76 kg. now( 181 cm. tall). I do my bench press with 90-100 kg on average( 4sets of 7-8 reps). I take whey protein and vitamins as well. I add creatine 3-4 times an year for 1 month each. But just like you I focus mainly on whole foods rather than supplements. Did you notice you fart more when you take the protein . That should be the side effect of it, a lot of my friends have the same issue :P

Thanks for you wishes and keep us tuned with them 15$s! Say hi to Peter if you don't forget as well!

Ya got 5 hours off him which i finished the other day.Ya definitely worth the money.Ya definitely gonna test out the waters in the $15s.What was the reason for you moving sites? And what site you currently playing on again?Try adding in some oats in your diet great for bulking up if you dont already.Ya my bench sucks I must admit.Ideally I want to be benching at least my body weight for about 6 reps.Hard work and dedication will get me there Im sure .Me personally I dont have that problem but a few people seem to have that problem alright . I will do

Currently playing on Betfred. Reason is that my account is tracked and I can get strategy points. I need the status, so I can post hands in the evaluation forum and watch videos. But the room itself is not great. I dislike the software big, big time! Good RK deals, so that might make it up, although I am not sure. If you bench your body weight that means you are in a good condition. Hard work, good food, sleep and less alcohol will do the job :P

Last couple of days of poker been pretty brutal.Pretty much getting smashed on the tables.Lost count how many times I ran into AA today. Now I see why there called bullets cos Im getting riddled by them :f_biggrin: . Thats my rant over for the day enough people in the poker community complaining about bad beats already definitely don't need another added to the list. I find listening to Joe Rogans podcast and Eric Thomas speeches keep me in check during sessions and stop me from tilting on the tables.Just have to stay focus and keep motivated I guess. No point worrying about things you dont have control over.

A second spent not striving for the best in your life is a second closer to the death of your dreams.

Volume is a problem, lack of traffic for FR SnG. So I had to add 6man to keep on running properly. I am not nearly as good on these, so it's kinda hard. I might switch to ps any time soon again. Honestly, I am a bit lazy on the cardio. I do it for only like 4 months/year. Starting in late April/ early May and maintain it until the end of the summer. I bought an exercise bike and I do it once a week. Thats enough, especially when you mix it with training the other parts of your body. And drinking anything than a glass of beer or wine really sucks. I don't do it more than once a month, even had longer periods :P

Slept in the last 2 mornings definitely not impressed  .Props though for actually scrambling into college yesterday brushed my teeth, had a shave, a shower and got dressed in under 10 minutes managed to stuff my face with a sandwich as well not too bad for 10 minutes work ,Today though didn't bother even trying so decided to grind it out instead on the tables.Gonna try for 50 - 60 games today we will see how it goes. Not a great start to the week and to make it worse I missed Collin Moshmans coaching last night FML :( .

Novembers coming to an end and Poker wise pretty happy but still room for a lot of improvement.Gonna come up short on my volume goal aswell by about 2 - 300 by the looks of it. Part of this is due to a big ass project for college  Went on a 30BI down swing aswell and tanked mixing in some $15s what a coward :f_frown: lol .Definitely gonna mix in some 15s in December and hopefully stay there
Giraffe for November so far

Not too impressive but the red line seems to be going in the right direction anyway

Merry Christmas folks hope everyone has a great time with family and friends . Just a quick update while waiting on my beast of a Christmas dinner with the family :f_biggrin: .Been in London the last few days with family so as expected volumes pretty low as can be seen in my graph.

Be back to Ireland at the start of January and really wanna bring my game to the next level. I have a feeling 2012 gonna be a big year I want to focus on my heads up game a lot more as Im sure theres a couple of leaks to be found as I was looking at my finish distributions and 2nd place was 14% as opposed to 1st at 10% . Il leave it at that for now. Once more I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and I hope ye all get a lot of run good from Santa _biggrin:

Ok finally got back from London and time for some goals. I want to finally get out of the 7s and establish myself in the 15s .Alot of benefits moving up to the 15s including going for supernova which I think is quite possible with some nice volume and also Platinum star here. Been previously mixing in some 15s with my sets but not too many to be honest.Trying to add in more 15s into my game. The plan is when im running good and feel that Im playing my A game il add in some 15s into my sets of 7s in a 50/50 split. Current bankroll of just over $700. My bankrolls kind of depleted because I was sending some $s to a friend in exchange for money as he couldnt deposit and I never bothered to redeposit the money :f_mad:

Going to focus on strength and size in the gym over the next couple of months with a 3 day split and also going to try out some HIIT (High-intensity interval training) cardio about twice a week which will give plenty of time for poker and college. Speaking of college been giving it some thought and have decided after I finish this year and get my bachelors degree Im not going to go for my honours degree next year
As previously stated Im just not feeling college. Which then leads to the question to stay in Ireland or move to London to the family. Im kind of leaning towards staying here for the moment as of the high cost in UK and also living alone I can focus on Poker a lot more.

[ ] At least 3:1 ratio 7s to 15s (750 7s 250 15s)

[ ] Dont cashout/transfer any money
[ ] Continue to attend coachings

An update is well over due.Better late than never I suppose. Been grinding pretty solid the last few weeks. Not sure if I should be happy or sad about the graph :f_confused: Green line is pretty nice but the red line is falling behind

Should be on course to hitting 1k games this month and also gold star on stars. Not too happy about my progress to moving up the limits either.Graphs about 10% 15s and the rest 7s.Only thing I can say about that is Im a pussy when it comes to moving up stakes :f_biggrin:

January turned into a pretty brutal month. Hit a downswing in my last couple hundred games which didnt bother me too much. What really bothered me was twice in the space of two days my internet disconnected and as a result dropped about 15BI which sucked bad.Funny thing though when it happened the second night again, I cracked and flung a poker chip at my door which ricoshayed and nearly took my head off . although definitely didnt see the funny side at the time.
That was the first downer. The second I ran into a small money problem.Basically got screwed by the college so had to take out some $$ from my account
Month ended up finishing up like this.

Febuary Catch me If You Can

As for February was feeling a bit demotivated still stuck in the 7s on stars so took a few days off. Finally decided to get on my grind as I want to reach 1k games for February.February left off just like January and Im still trying to grind my way back into the positive.

Not much I can do but continue to try bring my A game to the table and wait for lady luck to come to my aid. ;)

Finally grinded my way back into the positive and am currently earning a whopping

Im sure thats at least minimum wage somewhere in the world so il count it as a win for now Anyone else catch the chisora vs Klitschko fight?Pretty entertaining for a klitschko fight to be fair. :f_biggrin: Highlight of the night was definitely the press conference. Its safe to say chisoras a total dick after slapping vitali at the weigh in, spitting water at wladimir and topping it all off by getting in a brawl with Haye Its sad to admit Haye and chisora was the most exciting fight I seen in Heavyweight boxing in awhile
