Hello, I was just wondering if this is the right or wrong play,

Sit & Go
Middle phase

bb-800
sb-400
ante-75

UTG limps in 800 (limped every time near enough) (7700 chips)
MP limps behind 800 (3850 chips)
I am in CO with 106s I shove (5650 chips)

The stacks behind me all had around 10bb

the pot was 3475 I have just over 7bb is this a good play or should I be waiting for a better spot?

Hello CustardKid,

I moved your hand to the SnG discussions (I assumed it was a SnG) where it will get more replies.

It would be nice to mention what type of tournament it was, what phase it was (in the money, on the bubble etc), and also the stacks of the people behind your - BU, SB, BB.

In any case, to me this looks like a fold and wait for better opportunities, as you will get called often by at least MP and your hand is not ahead of anything.

Best,
Kamen

Thank you for moving it to the right place. I'm new here and don't really know what I'm doing lol.

I have edited and tried to add the things you said.

My initial thought of this play was that since UTG limped every pot, his range was 22-66 and 45o+ (pretty weak cards) I was unsure about MP's range. I thought my 106s was above the middle of UTG's range

Since I only had 7bb there was 3,7k chips in the pot, witch would virtually double me up if UTG and MP folded, I wondered if this play would be best over the long run or if it was a bad play.

No I don't have any tracking software at the moment.

In my experience, making a push against that sort of weakness in S&Gs is a great way of adding chips to your hand uncontested, regardless of your holding. If UTG is limping from everywhere with crap then grab the free chips.

I'm a lot more wary of MP limping with only 3850 chips at 400/800 blinds with short stacks (including yours) to act behind. Unless he's a serial limper and a total fish then limping rather than shoving suggests to me that he's waiting for somebody to make a move at the pot and he's going to put the rest in with a premium pair.
