As somebody else who has watched the Aussies destroy us over many years (with the occasional crumb ourselves) I have been reading the Aussie Newspapers, reports and blogs..... Absolutely wonderful to see them slating everything and everybody (excluding Skippy..... That will tell you how old I am) as we used to do to our cricket team.
Not wanting to crow too soon but this Ashes series will be won (if indeed we do) not by what is happening now but by all the hard work, and perserverence, over the last few years, that has to be down to selectors and coaches finally getting their act together.....now if only the England football team would learn.....fat chance!!!!
So to all you Aussies out there, I know how much it hurts to watch your team get destroyed and to be totally outclassed I have felt that pain 
But one thing is for sure you will come back at us (I doubt very much in this series) and I look forward to yet more hard fought contests for the Ashes which I do certainly think is THE most competetive game in the modern era, and sorry but yes I will enjoy your discomfort as much as you would the other way round.
Ok so about 3 months ago, I put 5 bucks on England to retain the Ashes (it sickens me to even say this). At this time it was paying about 5-1. So i thought that was pretty good odds.

Seems like the SkyTV boys think the pitch/conditions can go a little dead towards the end of the matches here so it could still go either way. We're gonna need to take 7 wickets for <150 tomorrow though to have a chance I think, at a big stretch another 200 runs to leave us 2 and a bit days to get 400...
