[Closed] PokerStars.net EPT Snowfest - Live Ticker

Hello PokerStrategists,

I finally arrived at the beautiful Alpine Palace Hotel in Saalbach - Hinterglemm, Austria. It is less snowy than I expected but I want to cite Bob Marley: "the sun is shining, the weather is sweet". It is really hot in the sun and we got some fans for our media area to stay cool during the hopefully thrilling tournament.

The PokerStars.net EPT Snowfest will start soon with the Event #2, the €3,500 + €250 Main Event Day 1A. Our Team PokerStrategy.com Member Simon1989 is going to start this day into the Main Event, our other members Allanon, Bokkie, vovoleo and Thorsten77 will start on Day 1B.

I will have a look around to meet Simon1989 and to check the tournament area and I will post the first pictures soon, focusing on the Hotel, the surrounding and the tournament area to give you your first impressions.

Some of you might remember me from the PokerStars.net EPT Vienna Live Ticker. Questions, Feedback to the Ticker or just comments are mostly welcome and I have to remark that I am native German so please forgive me possible mistakes in my postings :).

Pictures will come soon, the first set is in preperation. Also the first player dropped out of the tournament when Kings were against Aces on a dry flop and all the chips got in and the Kings made their set on the river.

Simon1989 is sitting at the table and his chipstack is similar to the starting chipstack of 30.000 chips. Blinds are at level #1 50 - 100 and each blindlevel will last 60 minutes.

Blinds 75 / 150

A few hands after Simon1989 got a walk in the BB, the following hand happened:

A player in MP opened the pot for 450 and Simon1989 called in the CO, the blinds folded. Flop came 9 T 2 :diamond:, both players checked. On the turn 5 the initial raiser check/called Simon1989s bet of 500. On the river 6 he check/called again a bet of 900. Simon1989 showed J 9 and lost against A T

Simon1989 has got around 29.000 in chips.

I've seen Liv Boeree when she came home from skiiing right before the tournament started so I think she will maybe start tomorrow. Anyways I will have a look, of course.

The EPT Snowfest has kicked off with around 160 Players at the Main Event Day 1A. The Blind level #2 with blinds at 75 - 150 is going to end in a few minutes.

After a short break blinds are at #3 100 - 200

Unfortunately right before the break Simon1989 lost some of his chips during a hand against a weak player.

Simon1989 openraised with A6s and got called by the weak player on the CO, Flop came A9x with two :heart:. Simon1989 bet potsize and got called quickly. Turn came 7 :heart:, Simon1989 fired another bet but got raised so he had to fold against this player.

Simon1989 is now at around 18.000 chips

PokerStars updated the count of registered players to 180 on the Main Event Day 1A.

Simon1989 was broken up and he is now at a new table.

Simon1989: "Nothing really interesting", his latest chipstack is 15.000.

UTG+3 limps and MP raises to 1100, Simon1989 calls at the CO, UTG+3 calls.
Flop comes J 9 9
MP bets 1750, Simon1989 calls, UTG+3 folds
Turn is 6
MP checks, Simon1989 bets 2800, MP raises him all-in. Simon1989 is thinking for a while and finally calls. River is an 8 :spade:, MP shows A9s for tripps and Simon1989 mucks KJs
