Hello everyone.

Today I have some thoughts and some dedications.. I know I am pritty lazy and I think if I want to achieve something, I need to raise some goals for myself.
Now its pritty good time to do that becose it's the beggining of the new year.

So My main reason is to get better at poker and evaluate, how can I become better in one year. So I will stat a smaller goals.
I have been stuck at micros for a long time. I have a knowledge of the game and still my winrate is -8bb / hour. (~150k hands).

so my first goal is

achieve a silver status

as I achieve my goals I will set the new ones.

I think your first goal is not good.
You should try something instead, try to increase my winrate, build a bankroll etc ! Status will come automatically.
Anyway, wish you the best and wonderful year !

So it is wednesday... My second session in 2 days.. not so bad. but I am almost break even. I made a few mistakes and I exploited some bad players too so there is my graph overall after almoast 2,5k hands

I was playing 0.01€/0.02€ full ring 6 tables at once. I am using HM2.
I noticed few spots that I could steal blinds almost 100% of the time with any two.
Also ocationally I was 3-beting stealers quite flat.
But the biggest wins or losses came from big pocket pairs so far. I will post few hands that is the most proffitable/expensive and not so streight forward:

SB: $2.46 (123 bb)
BB: $0.72 (36 bb)
UTG+2: $3.05 (152.5 bb)
MP1: $2.98 (149 bb)
MP2: $2.03 (101.5 bb)
Hero (MP3): $2.02 (101 bb)
CO: $2.23 (111.5 bb)
BTN: $2.04 (102 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A K
UTG+2 raises to $0.06, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.18, 4 folds, UTG+2 calls $0.12

OK so he called.

Flop: ($0.39) A 9 Q (2 players)
UTG+2 bets $0.04, Hero raises to $0.35, UTG+2 raises to $0.66, Hero calls $0.31

OK he raises my raise. But my initial raise was like a normal bet. That 0.04bet is like a check isnt it? So After he raises me to 0.66 should I know that I am beaten? Or it depends? And how often I can be ahead in this spot? I mean overall. I have a top pair top kicker. Can It be profitable to call? OK so I just call..

Turn: ($1.71) 3 (2 players)
UTG+2 bets $0.12, Hero raises to $0.68, UTG+2 raises to $1.24, Hero calls $0.50 and is all-in

Here is the same thing like on the flop. But my 0.68 was bet for value. Should I play check - fold? After he reraises Maybe in this spot I knew I was beaten. But still the pot was so hudge and I needed only 50 cents to call.

River: ($4.07) 6 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results:

Spoiler

$4.07 pot ($0.27 rake)
Final Board: A 9 Q 3 6
UTG+2 showed 9 9 and won $3.80 ($1.78 net)
Hero mucked A K and lost (-$2.02 net)

I lost a big stack here. What did I do wrong? Is it always wrong to make such assuptions? Which are exactly my assuptions wrong?

SB: $2 (100 bb)
BB: $2.27 (113.5 bb)
UTG+2: $0.74 (37 bb)
Hero (MP1): $2.05 (102.5 bb)
MP2: $2.48 (124 bb)
MP3: $0.02 (1 bb)
CO: $1.34 (67 bb)
BTN: $1.49 (74.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K K
UTG+2 folds, Hero raises to $0.06, MP2 calls $0.06, MP3 folds, CO calls $0.06, 3 folds

Flop: ($0.21) 4 2 T (3 players)
Hero bets $0.14, MP2 calls $0.14, CO folds

Turn: ($0.49) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.24, MP2 calls $0.24

River: ($0.97) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.35, MP2 raises to $0.80, Hero calls $0.45

Untill now I only bet for value but after he rasies I am pritty sure he has a flush. But again its not expensive for me to call? or it is expensive? How to determine? Maybe I shouldnt call any raises on the river at all cause its indicating veyr srong hand but on the other hand... if I always fold to river raises ppl begin to exploit me.. even with the overpair?

The next question would be should I know taht I am beaten if he raises me like that on the turn?
or if he do something like that on the flop?

Results:

Spoiler

$2.57 pot ($0.17 rake)
Final Board: 4 2 T 7 6
Hero mucked K K and lost (-$1.24 net)
MP2 showed 5 3 and won $2.40 ($1.16 net)

Flop: ($0.38) 6 Q A (2 players)
Hero bets $0.19, UTG+2 raises to $0.44, Hero folds

Results:

$0.76 pot ($0.05 rake)
Final Board: 6 Q A
Hero mucked K A and lost (-$0.37 net)
UTG+2 mucked and won $0.71 ($0.34 net)

Maybe I made a mistake because I folded here? Maybe I folded a best hand? But I was pritty paranoyed with that AK geting into something bigger. Should I call at least 1 street? or maybe 2 streets? or even all the 3?
Asume I call 1 street what shoiuld I do if he best again? call again or give up?
And there is no point in calling on the flop if I am giving up instantly o the turn. Or am I wrong?

IT seems its a long long way to my goal..

he how is it going? We're missing your update in our https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=326222&goto=firstnew !

1st hand: raise on the flop is fine, however the one on the turn seems more spewy :-(
3rd hand: puh, i struggle with these, too. Probably ingame i would call and then FML for whatever turn card comes.

He Balltas,

thanks for the graph - for the purpose of our weekly update in the news, we'd need it a bit less graphic, more numberwise. Have a look:
https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=326222&goto=firstnew br>

Thx - will include yours then next week!
