Quick Update:

Alright, March is finished and April is coming up! And fortunately I have high hopes and tons of motivation to make it a good month.

Over the last three days I played a couple of Cashgame-Hands and a big 45man-Session and the Bankroll is currently at 716,91$.

Goals for April:

• 700+ Tournaments
• 40k+ Hands
• Training with ICMIZER2 on 5 days a week
• Work on BB-Defending-Ranges (vs different Ranges and Stacksizes)
• Set up Pre-Session-Routine
• Blog-Updates at least twice a week

Week 1:

Over the last week and especially the weekend I had a couple of good runs in Tournaments and am extremely confident about my Volume. In total I played 138 Tournaments and 9380 Hands, which included 1268 Hands of Cashgame.
The Bankroll got boosted for a whopping (in Relation to the Bankroll and my Standards of course :f_tongue:) 300$+.
On top of that I feel pretty confident with my game at the moment. The ICM for the 45mans gets more and more familiar to me and my Re-Shoving-Ranges in Chip-EV only need small adjustments.

Next week I will take a shot at the 7,00$ 45mans and of course play some more MTTs.
Unfortunately I'm not taking part in the 40k Hands Cashgame-Challenge anymore. The reason for this is basically that my main Gametype has always been SnGs/MTTs and I don't see the point to give up my EV in the games there just to take part in a Challenge. The new Challenge instead will be to play 40k Hands in Total unrelated to the Gametype.

no worries for opting out of the 40k challenge - I see it makes sense to change your approach.
The results also show that it is a good decission - GL at the tables!

Update:

I feel kinda bad for not updating the blog for almost 2 weeks now, but unfortunately i had very little time. Also the volume has been pretty low and i only managed to play about 200 Games since the last update.

Over this weekened I'm going to put in some more volume tho and I should be able to grind both on Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully Misses Luck gives me decent score or two :f_biggrin:.

Update:

Over the last few days I was able to play some sessions and get some Volume in Microstakes-MTTs on different sites in.
Unfortunely I have massive issues with my HUD and Tracking on Partypoker and iPoker. It seems like they changed the way the HHs get stored (in XML-docs now) and Pokertracker can't process those...

Besides that I had some good runs on Sunday and also 2 nice scores yesterday:

Currently the main focus of my game is on defending from the blinds (SB+BB-Range vs different BU's).
Against larger Openraises it seems like I underdefended massively in the past ...those 3x Openers

The Volume for this week has been pretty good so far. I was able to play 112 Tournaments and the Results have also been damn good!
I never felt that Confident in my Abilities, even tho i still have some small Mental Leaks when I lose big Pots in Spots with high EV.
Yesterday for Example I had a deep Run in The Big 1,10$ and was the Chipleader with 15 left. Then I had 3 crucial Hands where I made no Mistake at all, but lost all of them. After that I ended up bubbling the Final Table with a possibly pretty big Payout on top.Even today I was still thinking about one of the Hands, but it was just a lost flip in an easy Spot...

Besides that I'm aware that I ran really well the last couple of days. I got 2nd and 1st on 2 consecutive days in the 1UP on Full Tilt for a total of ~500$, which is kinda absurd in Comparison to my BR. Ofcourse I'm fine with that :f_drink:, but lets see if I can keep this streak rolling (preferably this Sunday when I play a bigger Session).

April Recap:

During April I played 520 Tournaments and about 35k Hands with most of the Volume on Stars. I feel pretty confident with my Game right now and am slightly proud for the Volume i put in over the last month (especially the last week :f_drink:).

My main Focus when studying is still on Play from the Blinds (SB/BB vs Opens and Blind vs Blind).
I ran a bit over EV this month and even had 2 of my biggest lifetime scores, which definately pushed me to put in some more volume last week. Right now the focus is on grinding all stakes up to 5$ and the occasional 11$ Tournament. Hopefully i can build my Bankroll some more, which would allow me to shoot some 5$+ Tournaments more often since i feel like i have a huge edge in the Stakes i'm currently playing :f_cool:.

So that's what running good in Tournaments is about?

So far I played on 3 days this week. The rungood is continuing and I had a Final Table the last 3 consecutive days (Wednesday-Friday) which feels pretty good not to lie :f_tongue:.

With the Bankroll being at 1912,29$ right now, I almost made it to 2k$ which is already 20% of my Goal to 10k$.

During SCOOP I will take a shot at some 7,50$ and 11,00$ Events and maybe play the 27$ 6-Max-Shootout when i feel confident!

The Bankroll is currently at 2325,48$ :f_drink:.
Right now i feel extremely comfortable with all buy-ins up to 5$ and i will soon mix in some more tournaments in the 10$ range during all my sessions. Over the course of the last weeks i definately ran above EV (feels like the first time in my life that's the case :f_pleased:) and it feels a bit hard to stay disciplined and not completely overestimate my skill.

I probably need to work a bit on my heads-up-play in the near future since there is a lot of EV to be gained in those small-field-tournaments where you get there "relatively" often.

Also what am i going to do when Full Tilt shuts down in a week...i won't have a site to win tournaments on anymore :f_tongue:.

The 6th week of my Challenge is now over. I didn't really play as much as I would've liked and also missed some SCOOP-Tournaments I wanted to play and only cashed 1 of them (11$ HU).
Also my Game fluctuated pretty bad and I had Spots where I spewed off massively in retrospect and some others where I was surprised with how well I can play some more difficult Postflop-Lines.

During this week I will keep playing all kind of Tournaments but stick to smaller BIs again (5$ and lower and some 11$ Tournies on Sunday).
After that I might look more specifically into the tournaments I play. Maybe set up a specific schedule with different sites, formats, structures and all that stuff :f_cool:.

The main-focus right now is on improving my Game tho, since the ROI in the Games has such a big impact on how fast you can move up imo (disregarding the Variance).

Besides Poker I feel pretty good and can't wait for the Summer to finally arrive.

This week I cracked the 3k$ Mark for my Bankroll which I'm pretty happy about.
Most of the Winnings for this week come down to a nice run in the Big 1,10$ (Results in the Spoiler below :f_biggrin:), but also some smaller consistent Scores. I also took some shots in 11/27$ SCOOP-Events but unfortunately couldn't get a good run going. The 11$ Games definately look beatable tho and I will mix in more of them from now on.
