i busted as usual(usually not on poker, but by playing jack and the beanstalk and stupid things like that for my winnings, and sorry for not keeping my promise on updating, i will make up for it with a poker adventure of two weekends, with massive bankrollboosting (and loosing) .
i had the sickest spinandgo marathon wich went on for quite a while, and i came to the final table in a tournament for the first time on pokerstars (excluding freerolls).
weekend one: spinandgos marathon
as i deposited the funds into my account for the first time i thougt about how i could boost my bankroll to qualify for some semi high end bountybuilders, and thats when i discovered how powerfull spinandgos can be if you get in the right mode with them, it also has has with the amount of money you win, cause you cant win them all solely based on skill, i had a nightmare with them the other day by example, it just wouldnt do the magic it did on my 24 hour marathon.
as i did my first deposit of the weekend, i thougt of how i could boost my bankroll enough to qualify for 109, 40, 300 etc bountybuilders, as i had done this with no big hassle on a loowbudget(100-300 dollars at random) on another instance, and thats when i had the most insane marathon of jackpot sitngos/ spinandgo , and it did boost my bankroll, alot.
as i said earlier, i noticed the difference in moneywinnings is probably to make up for the slightly unpredictable and manical way of playing poker, so if you do a couple of 3 dollar ones and loose , suddenly a 28 dollar one can pop up for it and make up for it, and then some, it does require some practice and skill too tho. in 7 dollar ones you sometimes get 150 or something, and that is really motivating, 7 dollars is a bit too high on a low budget, but i won alot of 3 dollars ones and got the groove on it on those.i find the 3 dollar ones the nicest, usually you win 6, but often 12 and sometimes 28 dollars, so it evens up, and if you do good you+
i started of with 50-100 dollars, cant quite remeber i blew some of it on zoom for the jacks or better aswell, so lets say roughly 70 dollars, i played spinandgos for atleast 20 hours nonstop , mostly 3 and 7s , but also an occational 30dollar one if i felt i had done good.
i did them in my own system: 2 tables at once, 3 sometimes if i got impatient by a spree of only double ones , 3 only giving 6 etc.
but i usually kept it to 2 tables, if you win one and lose one you got for another round wich might contain a high one.
i ended up winning 700 dollars in one night, purely on spinandgos(3 and 7s mainly), but then came the short period i can get of dicipline lack and tiredness from being on a binge, i said to myself: lets try just one 100dollar spinandgo, it went a bit up and down, but it ended up in the gutter, wich is where left me with the few dollars i had left on 0.25 dollar ones for a few hours, but theese usually lead nowhere, i played them around 10 hours straight this weekend trying to get my bankroll up again, and the top you will see is 1,50 dollar it just went up and down, but not enough to do anything,i did have one 10dollar one tho, think thats ultra rare, on the higher ones its more balanced, atleast in my view.
however, after todays bust (seperate one) i went on 0,25s for hours and hours,then i decided to do a 2.2 dollar progressive ko tournamnt for the little money i had left, and i ended up on the final table for the first time ,(wich isnt netbetfreerolls), ive came close alot of times, in bigstakes too, but not on the actual table, i think i will stick to tournaments from now, feeling im getting the groove of it, placed fairly decent in some bountybuilders too lately, exept the big ones this week, im very bitter about that, i went full fish on the 109 and 44s i qualified for, it was just embaresing.
Bonus story:
today i tried pokerstars casino challenge, i won 100 bucks on guns and roses, ontop of my other 100 dollar bankroll( wich was winnings from the progressive ko win, so i thought id invest in some bountybuilders, i qualified for a 109,33,44 +a bunch of others and blew almost all my bankroll trying to qualify for the thursday thrill (its very expensive satelites)
i also won some money here and there by boosting the last bit up to goldstar on mediumstakes zoom.to finance my owerly expensive satelite spree(for my wallet that is)
so, thats a bit of spinandgo rant and philosophy.
so my plan now is to stay away from the challenges and slots ( one time i blew my entire bankroll on jack and the beanstalk) and play tournaments only in my pricerange, as i got the feeling i could do quite well if keep myself under controll and bankroll manage.
