Hi I'm currently in London. I'm on a boring holiday with my parents and I have too much to kill. I'm intending to visit a casino but I don't know which one is the best. I'm looking for the following:

-Big casino (so it's legit and safe etc)
-small stakes NLHE (NL100 or 200 since i dont have too much money and im not that skilled playing live without my hud)
-convenient (i'm staying near leicester square)
-games in the daytime

I'm 20 this year (i believe the min age is 18). And the only photo ID i have is my passport since i didnt bring my wallet along.

I think the most obvious choice would be one in Leicester sq called the empire casino (i think) you have to go down some stairs then turn right for the poker room. I have never played there myself but my friend said he played in a £1/2 game. I think it's the same casino as where the WSOPE was hosted.

The London Vic is, as far as I know, the best poker casino in London.

150-162 Edgware Road
London
W2 2DT

Not sure on what the limits are like, but it's definately worth a look.

the vic had holdem 1-1, 2-1, 5-2, 10-5 and sometimes 20-10 when i was there during EPT, and the management was cool, u could eat dinner on a little table next to the poker table and drinks were free (though u usually tipped a £).

really fishy with a lot of bad but nice older britts.

Yeah, just go Empire Leicester Square, Never been inside though. I'm headed down similar way tomorrow to watch a film, so with my curiosity up maybe I could drop by and play some live cash for the first time in my life.

i went empire leicester's twice
i think they have sit n go

their main game is 1/2 pound and its rather soft like most live games
they had a lot of fish regulars

though i regret the fact that i didnt have extra money to play lag style so I played like 14/12 kind of style -

won 170 in first session with TT on T747X. villian l/c OOP with god knows what. He checkraised me and i called, then i shoved turn when he checked. He mucked but im guessing 89? if he had a set im sure he would have threw his hand open and show how pissed he was

and lost 300 in second session cause I had A2 and noob l/c with AJ, board came 962A6 (4way), I didn't see the board properly and bet 75 pound into a 130 pound pot (luckily i misread the size of my chip too, thought black 25 pound was 50 pound if not i would have gotten screwed if i fired more)

I know this is a rather late reply but I am new to here although been playing poker for some time. I play at the Empire and find it a great Casino.. I have yet to get up to the VIC yet but from what I understand thats kinda the next step up in terms of quality and money..

Mon to Fri at 2:30pm the Vic does a £20 Freeze out with £5 bounty which is a pretty good game. THen about 6.30 or 7 they do a rebuy tourney which I am not fond of...

THey have just started 2 new tourneys on weekends not sure what the friday one is again but on Saturdays at 8:30pm they do a £70 buy in Big stack Freeze out which i have yet to play....

well there is my first post outta the way..

and yes they seem to have constant cash game on the go the lowest being 1/2 but if there is enough people the stakes will go up on other tables... Most I have seen during the week is 3 cash tables on the go...

the vic is the only place to play...They have self deal tables aswell...the good part about been on self deal tables is you get a bunch of tards who just want to gamble or have casually strolled in to "try" poker out...real fishey...

What is about fixed limit? Is it played in any casino?

rofl you are funny, you just named the exact stackes the casinos offer and you are in the exact location where they are haha.....Is that fate or what?

Go to the Empire it's right next to Burger King at Lester Square

PS drinks are free at empire when you play a tourney and players are really bad, I don't think i've ever had a losing session going there. Many people try read off minor tells which can be used against them, for example if you lay down a big hand and show it to them, people are gonna start trying to raise you off hands with air +EV
