Hey guys. I thought i'd try to make a list of resources to help aid us beginners in improving and movin on up. I don't know how often I'l get around to updating this however, so mods are welcome to edit suggestions into this post as they see fit.

Moving Up Through uNL in 2010 PDF

(by Verneer)

""Moving Up Through !NL in 2010". This is where I plan to write about
and discuss some of the bigger issues that I see with these games today from a few perspectives:
1. Reading and discussing tons of posts from the !NL forums
2. Sweating other regulars who play these stakes
3. Playing these stakes myself"

This PDF is for 6 max. as such the ranges he offers for utg and beyond are too loose for 9 max.

This PDF is a collection of thoughts and useful information created by verneer for another well known forum. Big thanks goes out to Igor for putting it into PDF format. This PDF assumes you know the basics ( make sure youve read all the basic articles on PS.com!)

-----------------------------

Pokerstove

Pokerstove is a useful freeware tool which helps you visualise hand ranges, and really understand what a VP of 15/10 means etc, andalso figure out profitable push ranges and other useful things for MTTs and SnGs.

Its an equity calculator and really is an indispensible tool.

----------------------------

Shortstack MTT pushbot chart

This thread describes a mathematically correct way to determine whether to push or fold hands when short/shallow stacked in an MTT situation. I highly recommend you read the thread if you play MTTs, and also multitable sit and go's. there is also a chart provided, but i'l let you check it out on the thread :P

I follow verneers thread too
another great source of info is the "concept of the week" on that same forum - each week they pick a different strategy topic to discuss

Mili = 10^-3
Micro = 10^-6 and the sign for micro is the μ.

Of course poker wise it makes no sense. It's just for laziness as poster above me said

Is this for SH poker only or does it also apply for FR?

It doesn'T really specify in his blog

its for Full Ring as far as I know. I haven't had any problems implementing his tips into my full ring game anyhow. Its not hard to adapt it to either imo.

Cheers for the heads up in the Party Poker forum.

I´ve had a few ganders at the Veneers stuff too, and I´ve got Pokerstove (though i´ve not used it yet). I tried to download the chart, but it couldn´t be found (so my browser tells me) *edit* got it now, Google Docs wouldn't open it - thanks for this!!!

Ok well I mean all the pictures I saw were from SH so I was wondering! I think I might try to get to speak with that guy it would be nice.
