iiiiits Tiiime!
Lets get AlcopopDK resurrected!
My last attempt @ a blog failed hard - to keep me sharp, i've chosen to re-use the same thread (hopefully i won't let it die twice within a year...)
I've actuelly played a bunch of (live) poker since my last post in here - with decent succes!
So.... - why come back?
I want to keep myself accountable
I want to share a journey
I want to take part in a poker community
So... - what will this blog contain?
A lot of online SNG's - the good, the bad, the ugly....
A big "end of the year" goal
A bunch of live poker
So... lets look at the numbers...
Primary volume will be online SNG's. 9/18/45/180 man SNGs starting @ the 0.5$ level (As of now im grinding 0.5$ 9/45 man and 1$ 9 man SNGs). Hopefully i'll be able to reach the 2$ lvl fast and dable in the 5$ b4 end of the year.
Starting Bankroll 184,26$ (What was left in my Pokerstars account after the last challenge). Every dollar won online will stay in my online bankroll.
Goal: Reach 1.100€ and take a shot @ the Eureka main event 2023 (Prague)
Secondary game will be the local poker club.
The primary club-activity is a ~45$ tournament twice a week. I'll try to hit as many fridays as possible - i dont have a designated Bankroll for this game - i'll consider it entertainment (rake is high - structure is rather fast)
The secondary activity is a 0.75$ / 0.75$ (Local currency 5/5) cash game (no rake). This is by far the softest game i've ever played in (yes i've been running HOT - but still :f_drink:). This game starts when enough ppl have busted the above tournament - which makes this game a scarce recourse. I buy in to the game for 200bb and started off a 2400bb bankroll. As of now I have a 3600bb bankroll.
This game will probably make me the most money (highest EV for sure) - plan is to keep a minimum of 3600bb for a bankroll. 50% of winnings above this benchmark will go towards my "allowance" - the other 50% will stay in the bankroll.
Both bankrolls (online and live) are completely seperated from my life roll - and both bankrolls are insignificant compaired to my overall economy (I just r'ly like the game of poker - and i'm to cheap (scared maybe) to play for a significant part of my life roll)
Lets make it happen!

Introducing AlcopopDK
Hello ![]()
I’ve been a member of Pokerstrategy since 2009 – During this time I’ve dabbled in the blog section a once or twice, but I haven’t been able to keep it going.
For several years I’ve enjoyed the newsfeed, the forum and the training videos as a “lurker”. Now its time to give a little back.
Hopefully I can show u guys, that there’s still chips to be won and money to be made in online poker these days (fingers crossed).
I’ll put together a “get to know me” post within the first week of this blog – for now you’ll have to settle for this cliffhanger 😉
Motivation
I haven’t grinded poker for years, but every now and then I’ve felt the urge to stick my toes in the MMT pool. This have let to the occasional 100$ deposit being considered the cost of having fun.
But I’ve come to realize, that poker is more fun, when you book winning sessions (boy, isn’t that obvious…)
For that to become reality, I will return to my (poker)roots – SNG’s.
The $ involved isn’t at motivation (for now at least). From a $ EV perspective, I shouldn’t bother playing poker (but that could be said about most hobbies). But then again – $ won is the way to measure poker success
The key factor to my motivation is the challenge itself – can I climb from the lowest stakes?
Furthermore, I want to engage myself with a community of likeminded poker players. What better way than starting a bankroll challenge?
Goals
I did dip my toes into the micro SNG pool during the weekend. Unofficially my challenge started this past Friday with 25,56$ in my Pokerstars account. Friday and Sunday I was sun-running over the course of 60 SNG’s (0,25 and 0,50$ STT and MTSNG’s) winning 62 buy ins (Graph in spoiler).
Spoiler

That brings my starting balance to 53,31$ as of today.
Initially I’ll play the 0,50$ games (9 man + 45 man) exclusively. When bankroll hits 75$ I’ll add 1$ to the routine. After that – well, lets cross that bridge, when we get there…
Bankroll goal is 500$
That’s the formal goals to take part in the Bankroll Challenge.
As stated above, I want to take part in the Community – For that purpose I’m stating the following “community goals”:
- Boost postcount with somewhat meaningful contributions (postcount prior to this one: 172)
- Attend as many livestreams as my schedule allows me to
- Update this blog at the very least once a week
That’s it for now folks – See you at the tables! 😉
