Hi all,

I am going to participate in the bankroll challenge by doing the famous add a zero-challenge. The starting bankroll is set at 1.000$ and the goal will logically be 10.000$.

Rules:

Starting roll: 1.000$
MTT-BRM: +/- 150 ABI
Goal: 10.000$

I will post study improvements and some hand analysis. Statistics and results will be limited as huds and tracking are unavailable on Unibet. I will try to commit myself to two or three updates a week, depending on how much I play.

Cheers! :f_drink:

Since I play on Unibet, I am not able to keep track of the amount of hands played. To have some knowledge of volume that I play, I will keep track of hours played and convert it into approximately an amount of hands that i play.
I know for a fact, on a regular Pokerstars cash table, on average, you get to see 125 hands an hour per table, so I’m going to use that average to count my hands.

Yesterday’s session:
Hours played: 3 (~2250 hands)
Result: +70

Session felt great, didn’t have a lot of sick spots or anything, I need to find out if I can convert hands from Unibet to put on the forum cause if that’s possible, I’ll be able to post some hands every once in a while.

For now, I’m out! :f_drink:

I play 6max on Unibet for now. Will definitely stick to 6max, the room might change when I move up limits or when I’m done studying the videos and articles on Pokerstrategy, since Unibet is the only room linked to PS.

very ambicious challenge but doable. Wish you all the best. gl and ev.
Any idea on the "shots" or moving up to stakes parameters? or will go with the flow.

How many tables are you playing at the same time? i am guessing 5 to 7 tables at the same time? Is the traffic in the room to reach more tables or you just feel confortable with that amount?.

I have no experience with unibet but maybe you could import the hands after playing, like the gg poker network.

gl with your challenge, will be visiting your blog every once in a while.

Have fun and gl at the tables

I've added multiple zeroes to a bankroll in the past, playing MTT's. I'm sure it's doable, especially without a time aspect. I don't care if I reach the goal in a year, two years or ten years (I hope not :f_tongue:).

Basically 1k$ is a bankroll to start taking shots on NL50. I'm going to anticipate on my lack of skill by moving up slower. It's basically go with the flow, but when I won a decent amount of stacks on NL10 and I feel comfortable with the stakes, I'll take a shot on NL25, ...

6 indeed. On the peak hours, Unibet is definately big enough to get those tables running. At this point, I feel okay with this amount. It gives me right enough time to think spots through. When I improve, I guess I might crack up the amount of tables a bit, we'll see =)

Importing is impossible, you can replay the last 100 hands and get a text file from the last 500. So from a hand reviewing point, I can get HH's. From a statistics point of view, Unibet sucks :O At this point, I think the lower level of the player pool makes up for not having statistics. Also, Unibet is linked to Pokerstrategy, so I unlock content by playing there, which is also beneficial. In the longer run, I'll probably move my game to another site (Stars or GG most likely) but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it!

Thanks for your input! :f_drink:

Holy crap, had a terrible session yesterday! Ran atrocious in the mtt’s and lost a couple of Stacks playing cash… Down 160 and back to square 1, roll is down to 1k$ again 😛

So... I changed the title. Why? I'm not fooling anyone. I love MTT's, I've always loved MTT's and I'll always love MTT's. I'll change the games that I'm able to play when I'm short on time. Poker should be fun in the first place and I'm having most fun playing tournaments.

Every once in a while I will play cashgames though and I'll even try to get better at it at my own pace but for now, I'm focussing on tournaments.

So... I played the Million yesterday... No, I didn't blew away 10% of my bankroll to get in. Friday evening I hopped into a 11$ 10k gtd tournament which granted the top 16 with a Sunday Million ticket. I managed to get 11th in the tournament and so it occured that after I'm playing poker for about a month again, I was able to enter one of the biggest weekly tournaments of the schedule without screwing my bankroll.

It was a fun run. I didn't play scared, pulled some bluffs, did some second barrels that got there. It was a little something something of everything. 3 hours in the tournament I got a shot at a 25$ bounty (which is quite nice when you're basically freerolling) but I lost the 44 vs KQ flip. Couple hands later I got a squeezing opportunity with AQs for the remaining 22bb. Unfortunately the openraiser had AK and the dream was over.

Back to the microstakes MTT's today with a small session of mainly <5$ turbo MTT's :)

Multiple zeroes is the next challenge :P

I know y'day I said I was focussing on MTT's...
But what's life without a bit of variation... Also I only had about two hours today so I played a cheecky little cash session.

Spoiler

Can someone please tell me what are the odds of this happening:

Anyway.. It was a fun session, won a little bit of money back that I lose with the last 3 MTT sessions. Tomorrow I'll play a new MTT session. It'll be a rather short one but it will still be around 20 games.

Thursday evening, I'm playing a 5k freeroll with about 100 entries in which I qualified. It's an amazing value tournament so can't miss that. Along with that tournament, I'll be playing a rather big session. On friday evening, I have a live MTT scheduled and on Saturday, I'll probably play online again.

So an action packed rest of the week, I'll keep you posted!

He, I would have thought 527BB straight to the bank would have been a welcome motivation to continue to grind?
