Currently you get VPP's in 2 and 6-max tables like this:

Rake x 5 / Players who were dealt cards = X VPP for everyone who was dealt cards

So if there are 4 players in table and the pot is raked 0.5$:

0.5$ x 5 /4 = 0.625 VPPs for everyone.

In full ring tables the old formula still applies (even if there are just 2 players sitting in 9-person table, it is still counted as a full ring table);

no VPP if rake is 0-0.35$
1 VPP for everyone if rake is 0.4-2,95$
2 VPP for everyone if rake is 3$

Interesting. This is what PS page says for 8+ tables:

CASH TABLES WITH 8 OR MORE SEATS

These VPP earning rules apply to all cash tables with 8 or more seats, no matter how many players are actually seated or dealt in.
VPPs at these tables are based on the total rake collected at the table and the total number of players dealt into the hand. VPPs at these tables are awarded at the rate of 6 VPPs for each $1.00 USD in rake collected or 8.5 VPPs for each €1.00 EUR in rake collected. The total VPPs for that hand are then divided equally among the players who were dealt into that hand. Fractional VPPs will be awarded in hundredths.

you're right funktor. PS changed the way they distribute VPP on 1st of January, so info in this thread are not valid anymore...

In fact, the most of FR info should still be more or less relevant, because those tables weren't much affected by this change (only by few %'s).

If you play SH, you'll notice (usually) significant improvement in amount of points per hand though.

Doing a sample of the new VPP system, I played for 10 hours on 24 tables at NL 25 FR, and these are the results:

Hands: 13152
Hours: 9,95
Tables: 24
VPPs: 969,96

This means hands per hour per table is 55

The VPP per hour per table ends up being 4,05

This means the actual VPP / 100 at NL 25 at the moment is 7,35 VPP / 100

This isn't very good compared to the sample size provided from before the change.

Perhaps this is useful:

Pokerstars Fixed limit 6max

Of course filtered for 5 to 6 players.

5nl 6max

44,519 hands - 2.11 VPP/100

Perhaps interesting for the ubermicrostakes grinders trying to move up :P
