You do realize the 'rake' of this event is higher than it's BI, right?!
Apart from the official rake you take, someone playing it needs to pay for travelling, accomodation, laptop and living expenses. The biggest problem imo (apart from logistics) is it's ONE tournament which isn't enough to justify a London trip in most cases. There has to be more, there has to be some side events, some cash games not just this outdoor online poker tournament.
Might be wrong but i think it said in the interview that there will be lots of side events, but yeh i agree if it was just one thats gonna be a big turn off for a lot of players
Edit: Yeah just found this from interview,
The fact that the main event starts online in the stadium doesn't take away from the fact that there will be 50 prestigious side events through the entire week and a huge amount of action and entertainment available for the 30,000 players in London.
