Not chronological order, but they all happened between 12AM and 8AM tonight. And I only sucked out twice.. =(

There were more hands, but these were the most annoying, since they happened in like 2 hrs, the whole bunch of 'em.

Not even _one_ sympathy post? : ((

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

cheer up ya old bugger

i thought i had a bad day on monday i think it was, but not as bad as that.

did you walk under a ladder, crack a mirror or something like that to have that amount of bad luck.

cant say i would have played anything that much differently.

hope your luck changes for the better, and soon!!

Because we all go through it :). But yeah I can relate. Just one hand of my bad night:

$0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem
5 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG Hero ($50.44)
CO Miker74 ($62.38)
BTN raynoom ($42.79)
SB milburn42 ($53.14)
BB TiltyMcgee ($120.05)

Pre-flop: ($0.75, 5 players) Hero is UTG 2♠ 2♦
Hero raises to $2, Miker74 calls $2, raynoom raises to $3.50, milburn42 calls $3.25, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.50, Miker74 calls $1.50

Flop: 2♣ J♦ A♣ ($14.50, 4 players)
milburn42 checks, Hero checks, Miker74 bets $7.25, raynoom calls $7.25, milburn42 folds, Hero raises to $20, Miker74 calls $12.75, raynoom raises to $39.29, Hero raises to $46.94, Miker74 calls $26.94

Turn: 8♣ ($147.67, 3 players)

River: T♦ ($147.67, 3 players)

Final Pot: $147.67
Hero shows: 2♠ 2♦
Miker74 shows: 4♣ J♣
raynoom shows: 3♦ A♠

Miker74 wins $146.17 ( won +$95.73 )
milburn42 lost -$3.50
Hero lost -$50.44
raynoom lost -$42.79

It can be pretty brutal sometimes

bugger of a session...can commiserate, having something similar at the moment.

every pocket gets called by higher pocket, AK unimproved and have to lay down, AK with K high flop, calling station has KK..

just keep your head up and keep plugging away, has to improve at some point :)

Thanks guys, appreciate it!

The strange thing about that night was that - even with all those hands - I still came out on top with about 2BI ;D

I'm now at $210 12-tabling NL25 4-5hrs a day, running at around 9BB/100 on average! So I'm pretty stoked, while still fearing the infamous 'downswing' *shiver*.

sounds like you are doing great

how many hands have you played total?

I am doing great, apart from the 1300 hands I played today with only $10 winnings =(

I have 4.6k hands in elephant on NL25 as of today, plus those 2,5k hands from when I used PT3. So in total like 7k hands or so on NL25; and I've made about $150 on NL25 in 7k hands. (also cashed in a couple MTTs and some SnGs). Withdrew my BR at ftp of $150 today, also from NL25 SSS grinding.

ON A QUEST FOR $300 AND NL50!!!!!! When/if I reach this goal, I'll probably start my blog. Already have a name for it! -> Fish'n'Chips(and ninjas!!!)

=D

9bb/100 hands is insane winning rate for SSS, dude. If you can keep it above 4 you're the star.

Keep it up!

Cool, I won't get too carried away and think I can keep this rate up then : )

Good you said smtn, or I could be a bit disappointed if I start to flat out @ 3-4BB/100 ;P

hand #2 and hand #5 are misplayed, don't openlimp with SSS doesn't make any sence to trap since they will call a raise with any crap anyway.

Actually hand #2 and #5 are the one's that are well played. I had reads on them, they were raising EVERY time someone limped. So I limped and 3-bet shoved all-in.

But yeah, shouldn't limp, in sss, ever, unless you have a read, that tells you, that he's gonna, raise, 90% sure, you can limp, iz oki, afaik, *nod self*. Ok I'm done. :f_confused:

i wouldn't limp in 2 and 5 either, u wanna get some money in the pot and protect ur hand so i would raise.
