So last nights session was alright! Completed first half of the 4NL fastforward grinders mission earning $5 to the BR for reaching 5K hands. Not much but it's a free BI!!!

I was grinding 2-4 tables of fast depending how many 2NL 6max regs I was playing. Tried to keep it no more then 9 tables total. It got a little crazy I'll admit so I dropped to 6 tables 4 being Fast and 2 Reg.

Grinded 2,274 hands last night for a net of $6.84 bringing my BR to $139.81!!
Yesterday during the day managed to get in 1747 hands for a net $9.92 which considering from Jan 2, 2015 to Jan 4th i've had days like -$18.31, -$6.47, -$2.95 and a couple of just below B/E days so a nice improvement

Going to finish reading some forum stuff, see what everyone else in the world is doing then by 10am going to hit the tables and hopefully make it another profitable day!

Stay sharp, Stay fresh and whatever you do, keep grinding!_drink:

Had a couple of up/down days since last blog. Such a great feeling when you find a fishing hole and every time your dealt a great hand you find yourself with nibblers and bites and every so often the big catch. Okay that's the closest I've come to "acutal" fishing Jargon ever!!

but serious its been fun the past couple of sessions, then... you have that swing for some odd reason that everything goes ass up, and not in a good ass up kind of way :mdr:

Close to everything you won previous day you've now donked off to several fish because they are catching everything. I had a a guy who would OMR every position stats were like 95/85 at NL2 and man he would hit every single time! It was honestly a miracle how "lucky" and unlucky the rest of us were. I witnessed barrels of fish just donk off to this guy, unfortunately I was victim twice i believe on pure suck outs but he made a killing out of us that session.

Anyhow, will have to review some hands and post. Had more then a few quad hands at several tables, which was something you don't see everyday that's for sure.

Was also nice getting comfortable playing 9 - 12 tables using 6 max regular. Had to add a few 6max Fast tables when tables started closing and slowing down but normally no more then 9 tables at a time.

Also completed the grinders mission of 10K hands for $10 bonus. The next grinders mission for $30 is to grind out 20K at NL10 which not quite close to that BR but would be nice to make next level by months end maybe sooner.

So as for the small goals i made;
:diamond: completed NL2 reaching BR for NL4
 completed NL4 fastforward grinders mission 10K hands earning 2x$5 cash bonus to BR
:club: just shy of reaching BR for NL10 $50 needed

New goals:
:club: Reach NL10 before months end.
:spade: Continue to work on cash game by studying HH, hand Evaluations, video's, as well finishing reading Blackrains book.
 Review material on MTT for beginners. I've noticed at times, there haven't been many tables to choose when I'm available to play poker but there's always a good MTT with some small but juicy GTD money. Last month I played in a few and made 3 final tables which helped my BR. Figure why not study some hoping that it doesn't mess me up too much!

Cheers everyone!!

Well it's been a few days since I've posted a blog. Lots have been happening here personally and it's been one stress ball of a week.

For starters, my wife just found out her company is folding and she's one of 17,600 employees losing their jobs. It was a tough monday morning hearing the news and having conference calls after calls then having to explain to her staff whats going on. So, the stress of her losing her job is filtering down. Trying to stay positive with it all. We've had a few days now to get our bearings straight and hopefully have a few things in the pipe line lined up for her. It's nice having friends who are well connected and hopefully she'll be able to find something to move onto.

I'm still laid off, but the good thing is i still have a job to go too sometime in the spring, which hopefully I'll find something else as I'm not particularly interested in going back to that shit hole I call work.

Was hoping like many of us, a poker lifestyle would be awesome but its not moving as quickly as I would have hoped as my B/E results are what they are. So i'll continue to work on my game and hopefully improve where one day down the road maybe... just maybe it'll become something of a FT thing. Wife is not overly enthused about the idea, I don't blame her but at this point in my life I'm discovering it's what I truly enjoy doing, as I've been spending my days grinding away, just wish I had the BR to back it up.

Anyhow, thought I'd add an entry.. vent a little i guess. Haven't fallon off the face of the earth. Daughter had a hockey tournament on the weekend which the girls started off great but fatigue got the better of us and we lost in the bronze medal game. 5 games 2 days.. such an awful schedule. especially having the girls have a wake up call 5am saturday to be ready to play for 7am then a second at 4pm and their at 7:30 it was a long ass day for them. Very proud of each girl, it was a good hard fought battles the whole weekend.

cheers everyone and thanks for reading

I guess this is where I'm suppose to rant and rave about my play as of late. I know everyone's gone through them. I know I've had them in the past but man it feels totally new and it hurts this time again.

Not sure what I'm doing at the tables?? I don't feel like I've changed anything from previous play that's got me some success. Just as of late in the past 3181 hands I've lost $33.47 I had one session of $6.17 and before that was in the red for $43.84!!
A total loss of $71.14 in 4 days!!

I'm going crazy here, almost timid to turn the pc on and play even a hand. I've turned to some C.O.D to relieve some stress or whatever tension is there, I even took a few days "away" from poker earlier in the week just to clear my head.

I know it's part of the game but man, it sucks!! :deadhappy:

I'll keep grinding because I've dug myself out of this hole once before, and will do so again, but for now.... I suck!! (i mean i know i've always sucked at poker but i was happy then!) ha ha... ha

thanks for reading... anyone....

A quick update, will have to post some results once I look back and go through them all. Have some hands I want to post and hopefully get some feedback whether good/bad move what I could have done better.

But just wanted to post something quick before running off to bed. Roughly in my head in the last two days I've logged in about 7000+ hands and have been playing really good. Made back a good portion of BR back which is the objective but more importantly the mental aspect of it all is positive and flying high.

Poker is the game you love to hate! One day she's generous and you feel on top of the world running good, then the next she's hitting you with everything but the kitchen sink! There's times I felt I wanted to puke in my sink just how bad I ran.

Anyhow, not exactly sure what it was or is that's changed but something has and I"m running with it till the next beat down, but right now things are good.

Cheers everyone!

Well seems like forever since I've posted, and thanks to those that have come back to read and comment.

Maythany, dude things are good. Feeling good playing poker these days. Was feeling pretty crap about playing and my ability get over that hump a few weeks ago. Have met a few awesome people through here, which being able to skype and get perspectives on poker and anything in general really has helped.

This week has been a great week for myself and putting in the time on and off-line to study the game has changed the way I've been doing things. Once I filter my graphs day by day or at least filter on a weekly basis I'm going to post them up. I haven't done a great job in the past doing that, always say I will and never do as I use two different machines one for poker and one for blogging, and unfortunately all poker stuff is on the PC that I only use to grind, not to blog. So i'll post later tonight I think!

Anyhow, hope everyone is running great! Cheers.

okay updated and recent results. Had a rough spell in between but made some ground back.

since switching from Party Poker to WPT, which yes I know it's the same network, but just runs a lot smoother, as well a few perks which hope to see as well taking advantage of deposit bonus as well!!

starting BR
$130.00
Current BR
$192.60 included in there was $10 deposit bonus as well.

Had a great skype session today, went over a few stats and discussed some hands. Its great to get someone's honest opinion and to try and understand their thought process behind it. Also, keeps my ego in check and to adjust my game to the many bad players out there. As much as it pains to fold to :f_confused: certain situations call for it, and I'm in the process of learning to understand and read them better. Having a well thought out HUD that exposes their weakness is helping in a huge way. Still learning it, there's a lot of information but for the most part I'm happy to say its working!! :profit: as seen by my graphs I'm moving in the right direction!!

Cleared another 60 loyalty points to release 10% of deposit bonus which a nice addition. I'll take free moniez!!!

So an update on my BR
previous was $182.60+$10 DB total of $192.60
current $222.85+$10 DB for a total of $232.85

Hoping to maintain this pace, and being at the microstakes NL4 Fast, the addition of the deposit bonus will help with moving up to NL10 Fast

I've Opt In to the Get Rich or Die Tryin' Challenge. I mean, it's a great little way of making sure you keep up with blogging as well tracking results which have been doing anyhow, more so then blogging. _rolleyes:

So Day 1 results of the Get Rich or Die Tryin' Challenge went really well tonight. Had some good coaching earlier in the day and happy to say, I think I made some Hero Folds!! :spit: WHAT?? I did what?
https://www.weaktight.com/h/5514ca38a5251154488b4578
I'm thinking a ck/fold on turn would have been better.

Well coach will be the judge of whether or not it was a "hero" fold. It's one of many little things having to fix in my game to hopefully become more profitable, even though those great looking KK and AA look so damn good it's been hard hitting that friggin fold button!

Anyhow, so the min goal for this is $1000 and seeing as I'm a micro player NL4 let that be the goal for starters.

Day 1 Results
Goal: $1000
Starting BR: 210.47
Hands: 963
Profit: $9.64
Bonus: $10.00
Total: 230.09

Well that's for today, seems like a lot of work now that i think about posting every day, but will try!

Thanks for visiting

no poker over the weekend, but i still managed to have a great one. A lot of driving but in the end it was enjoyable to hang with a buddy and share a few pints.

Got back at it this afternoon for a couple thousand hands came out profitable, and hopefully back at it again later tonight.

Hope everyone else is running the tables and making good profits!

cheers!! _drink:

Okay, so March is done and over with and wow, what a ride that was. Started off on the right foot, had a few down slides, and picked myself up and then hit another land slide and finished off just barely scraping a profit. Non the less, profit is profit so lets ride with that.

April is here and we're starting off pretty good thus far, just hoping I can stick with it. A few things I'm going to try and do differently is folding anything less then 2 pairs. Folding my over pair and top pairs. I seem to commit to much, or as someone once said, "fall in love" with my hand. So we'll go with the advice given and so far, its only a few sample sizes but so far so good. Can't complain with profitable days right?

Brushing up or doing some refresher lessons reading the strategy guides again and searching through some video's.

If anyone can recommend some good video's for SH Cash Speed Tables that would be greatly appreciated. I'm a bronze level here on PS only because my accounts i'm playing at the moment are aligned with PS points which sucks but hopefully soon once I build my BR up the plan is to switch over and hopefully collect PS points as well a better RB.

Get Rich or Die Tryin' Challenge update day-day for myself a combined of two days April 3-4
Goal: $1000
Starting BR: $210.47
Hands: 3659
Results: +$28.56
