Does any of you have any enterprenurial (LOL did I spell that right?) dreams? I do! I would LOVE to have my own little company one day. I love cooking and baking, so I think for me to run something that i also love doing, it would be a little bakery or café or perhaps a catering business. "A taste of Sweden" I'd like to call it (well the café anyway) and make little swedish treats like Cinnamon buns etc. My mom always wanted to have a café in a garden setting, I think it's potentially something to think about, because I feel if one is to open a café and stand out, you sort of need an original idea.
So I've thought about starting off small. Like, try to sell small amounts of the treats somewhere. I've just to come up with more ideas about where to sell it to. My old roomm8 has this "Board game evening" once a week since he works at a company producing board games, so I thought about asking him if I can come and sell some treats there then 
Other than that I don't really have that many connections in Germany yet, but I will try to build some up. I thought about going to Christmas markets or something but that's very seasonal and not something I'd like to do too often anyway. Does anyone else have any brilliant ideas? 
I'd love to hear about others dreams and hopes for the future too, however realistic or not they might be. 
Thats cool!!! I think you just have to go with it. I have so many friends who just talk about what they want to do and all of their ideas are grate but they don't act on them. One thing about me is if I say I'm going to do some thing I do it and I do it to the best of my ability. At the moment its poker. But wile studying poker I have started to like the idea of being a motivation speaker.
I first herd a talk at my college graduation and my friends laughed at the speaker because she was talking so deep about her life and how she got to where she was now. That speech really had an effect on me and I was empowered. Now I look at all the things I have done and experiences I have had and I look to my old friends back home and just feel they all need a good talking to and some inspiration.
So with this though and my love to party I created an event. Some would of course laugh at my idea but I didn't care because I believed in it! So when travelling I though of it allot and planned in my head what I was going to do.
I ended up coming home this time last year, because I couldn't make enough money in poker, I knew that was because this planted seed was in my brain and I had to go home to do it so my brain wouldn't let me win at poker because I needed to loos to go home to do this. So as soon as I got home (BROKE) I started to talk to the right people and organise my mini festival. Called YOLO Gathering! It was being held at my Farm (yes I live on a farm) and I would charge people to come in and I also made money from the alcohol and I raised money for a charity that I was close to. not many helped as they thought it a ridiculous but for sure every one said it was the best party they had been to. Beating Global gathering reviews from the week before. We raised 6K and had an amazing night.
I did a motivation speech at the start of it in front of everyone of my friends and family and co workers ect ect. Basically the hardest crowd to do something like that infront of. They were calling me the preacher after it though ♦ Safe to say its happening again this year. and hope it will become one of the big festivals in England one day. I'm thinking of doing some speeches to my secondary school one day but I feel I need to make it in poker first to be a good example. Plus I want to do it more when I'm a bit older but that is my plan

About the garden cafe, there's one cafe in Brighton I've been to which had a very quiet and cozy inner garden, it was like an island of tranquility in the center of the city. Really liked it, cakes were good too=)
In my eyes catering is easier to start because you don't need to commit to getting a place on a high street as a selling point. And i like your idea of selling at an event like this, although it really depends what kind of people tend to come. I mean if it's an evening with wine/beer bakery's probably a miss I've always thought of bakery as a morning thing but maybe it's just me

And I agree with most of what you say, but at the same time I have this close to OCD type personality and planning is what gets me off, usually it's the part I enjoy the most, so "just doing it" without a extensive amount of planning just wouldnt work for me Really admirable what you've done though! What's your plans for the future, if I may ask?

Yea, at first I thought catering might be the way to start aswell. I read up on some articles though and they made a VERY valid point. When you haven't got a live place to sort of advertise your food, where the clients can taste it and smell it, it gets alot tougher. You really need top notch pictures because visualization is the only selling point you have. Ofc, as things move along, I think word of mouth accounts for alot too though. Thankfully I live near a huge european city, so I think a catering business would work well, since I could operate from just outside the city yet take advantage of the clientel the city has to offer.
Selling something at the board night was a bust though, you need a license to sell any type of food in Germany and the guy's married to a lawyer so I don't think he'll budge on that anytime soon. Oh well. I shall investigate further! Thanks for input!
So today I've managed to be quite productive, and the day is not even over! One small step closer to NL10! Wished some more hands would have held up but oh well, all evens out in the end Before bed I have to analyze some poetry for my English literature class, It'll help me fall asleep I'm sure. Never much liked poetry... just doesnt appeal to me in any way really.

Yea but if your like me you are doing all the planning in your head. Every day i'm thinking of what i'm going to do for this next yolo gathering in July. Ive been thinking of it since the day after the last one so I know even without doing any real organising what is going to happen. Same with poker I think of what my plans are months in advance. If some one asks me what I'm doing or my plans are my reply is, "not sure miht to ect ect or might do ect ect". But I have a fairly good idea of what I will be doing but nothing is in solid stone. And with the motivational speaking well, I'm years ahead of my self there!
My plans? well i want to play poker and get to the highest stakes. follow the tournament circuits around the world. im on that path already, just low stakes. YOLO gathering I want it to progress into a Huge even on the festival calendar, and I want it to keep its motivation character. As for speaking thats going to be a world wide traveling speaking thing to. Maybe even be speaking to poker players who knows?

Took the weekend off from poker so sadly no NL10 yet! Yesterday was game night with my boyfriend, dusted off the old Nintendo 8bit, apart from poker that's a game where I can whoop his ass, making it even more enjoyable Today it's back to business so let's look at last weeks results;
