Oh, maybe this time you've got the chance to come around to Gibraltar - will be leaving for a trip though on July 1st.

I will explore my options on that! This time I'm taking my wife, daughter ant parents for Malaga so I will have to convince them as well for a ride :f_biggrin:

Im happy that you were in Tallinn! I live there currently with girlfriend and two sons. I love Kings of Tallinn poker series, hoping to take part one day! These really influence the whole city. Impressive results, good luck for future plans 🤘

I see there is a nice festival in Tallinn this summer! Usually I visit this town in cold cold winter so it would be nice to see the country on different conditions :sfishy:

Heading to Malaga tomorrow, probably the hottest point in Europe right now :sfishy:
Not sure how many days I will be playing there, could be 5 days straight or only one. I have two Main Event tickets and hopefully I will stick to it without entering any side events. There is a guaranteed prizepool of 1 million euros, but I have a feeling it will be smashed at least twice. Final Table for a birthday present would be nice :f_drink:

Hottest town in Europe? Haven't checked the weather forecast yet, no? It is truly hot, but Germany, France, even UK have a heatwave, too.
Starting to sell AC's now!
How was the start into the tourney? Unfortunately I do not see any pages doing live updates.

I think hottest town I have been to is desert town in Western India called Jodhpur. There it felt like +50°C when the Sun was shining on your head. I took it as challenge. But yes also Rome in Italy can be super hot in July/August, with the old buildings providing comfortable shade.

Unfortunately, I didn't run as hot as the weather in Malaga :f_ugly: On my 3rd hand I was dealt J♥:J♦: and saw a flop A♣:J♠:7♠:. I was put Allin on the Turn :6x: and had to say good bye to my chips as opponent rolled over that A♦:A♥:. Fired another bullet but my 3bet jam with K♦:K♥: was called by A♦:T♠: and :Ax: appeared on the flop already. Late Turbo flight was successful, got through to day 2 with almost average stack but then again T♦:T♣: was in a race against A♠:K♦: which I lost. With strong players still in the Main Event, I registered to a side event of 550€, which in theory should be a very good value tournament. This time it was me who held A♣:K♣: but lost a flip to J♦:J♠: :f_confused:
As I was here in Malaga with my own family and parents, I decided that two days of poker will be enough and spent more time to relax on the beach. But yeah, with over 30 degrees, at times it feels like sauna :f_biggrin:

Yeah bad variance, in January when I started to play 0.10€ SnGs I lost 8x in a row. Looks quite big taking your parents to Southern Europe country, take care! Well played!

The August has come, signalizing the last month of the summer. Fifa World Cup occupied most of the sunny days in June and July, so I find August to be the perfect time for relaxation before intense period from September. Hence, let's take a look at my yearly goals :f_drink:

1. Have 10 trips outside Lithuania, at least 1 country new to me
January - Campione D'Italia, PokerStars Open
February - Kings of Tallinn, Estonia
April - Irish Open
June - Malaga Pokerstars
July - Belgium, F-1 Spa

September - The Festival Weekend in Riga
PokerStars Open Aix-en-Provence
European Poker Tour - EPT Prague

F-1 experience in Spa was the trip of the year so far! This Iconic track was one of my bucket list activities, so I'm very happy to complete it. 3 days with a tent in a Young Village was also quite adventurous, luckily no rain as this region is very famous of it. The Race itself was also very engaging with plenty of overtakes even on the dry track. Driving back home (1800 kilometers from Belgium to Lithuania :f_ugly:) we had enough time to plan our next such trip, and at the moment Portugal 2027 is leading our intentions :f_thumbsup:
As for the rest of this year, I have 3 poker festivals in my mind. In September I plan a short trip to Riga for The Festival Weekend as I already have one Main Event ticket. Would be nice to include one more poker-related journey and one voyage to simply enjoy the time :f_drink:

2. Extend Trophy board or ship Major MTT online event

3. Collect all Zodiacs on GG Network

3 avatars collected, now the Rabbit is on the Hunt :sfishy: This tournament is a cheap one, around 10€, so it attracts lots of players, usually over 500. Could be a long time before defeating such a massive field :f_eek:

4. Reach Final Table in Sunday Million, GG Masters or any 1 Million Guaranteed event

Well, this isn't a million guaranteed tournament, but it is a prestigious one with a buy-in above my bankroll limitations. Interestingly, it cost me only 30$ to participate in it..

5. Study poker 360 hours
January - 31 hours
February - 28 hours

March - 18 hours
April - 19 hours
May - 17 hours
June - 19 hours
July - 19 hours

At least those hours are consistent :f_biggrin: Total 151 hours after 31 weeks. Projected number should be at 240 so trailing a lot.

6. Visit 10 famous places/objects in Lithuania outside Vilnius with my family, 4/10
4th city in Lithuania is Molėtai. A district famous of lakes, a great alternative for the sea :f_cool:

7. Foster our Homestead
It's been raining a lot here, so all the wild flowers flourished.

And some of the wife's garden Q♥:

8. Collect all Monthly badges on Duolingo
7 out of 7 ticked. Learning the language was also helpful in a French speaking Belgium Spa, especially living close to French National team fans during World Cup semi-finals! Must admit, their chanting songs were amazing :f_thumbsup:

9. Help Top Kickers team avoid relegation and have 10 attacking returns
After first half of the season we sit comfortably in 5th place. And we still have one game in hand! My personal statistics - 2 goals and 6 assists, not bad⚽ 🥅

10. Read 12 books
Leonardo da Vinci by Altaev
The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak
Mein Name ist Maryte by Alvydas Šlepikas
Dubliners by James Joyce
The Seventy Wonders of the Ancient World by Chris Scarre
To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf
The Dentist by Tim Sullivan

7/12, exactly on track 📖

Extra point 2/10
Watch Live reputable football match in a stadium
Take part in Formula-1 weekend

So in general I'm happy with the progression of my goals. Some are already completed, some are in the process, and some need additional effort :f_ugly: But as mentioned earlier, August is for relaxation and enjoyment, let's kick a higher gear in September :f_drink:
