i would raise,
there are no high cards on the flop, so the chance of sb to have hit something is small. and maybe you can knock some people out of this pot.

with both one or two players on the turn, i would bet again.
if i have just called the flop, i would just call the turn again even with the raise of CO.

if they are still with me, i wouldn't bet the river again just c/f. now even Ahigh calls your bet. if it was more a scarecard i would have bet/fold the river. the pot is then considerable large and the bluf doesn't have to work that often

I'm calling this flop. Against 3 I'm certainly not ahead, but my OESD and bdfd gives me very good equity in a multiway pot, so I'm hoping for overcalls on the flop.

Turn call again, as we're getting good odds.

If flop raise:
Against 1, bet out again as semi-bluff
Against 2, continue according to odds/outs.

I would call the flop for overcall to get good odds. I dont want to knock others out because if i hit my straight i can be pretty sure to have the best hand.

A direct raise is the best play here. SB often has 2 overcards so we can knock the other players out now and SB later on the turn or river.

If we raised the flop and only SB calls then we bet the 8 again because now he shouldn't be able to call us with just overcards anymore. We showed some strength and he can't put us on a draw often enough.
Against 2 we don't have enough fold equity and play accroding to our odds and outs.

If we stayed passive on the flop and SB bets the turn again into Co and us we should stay passive because now the possibility that he has a better hand than highcards is more likely.

The river is an easy check/fold here whether we raised the flop or if we stayed passive. We have no chance to get a better hand to fold.

EDIT: I saw that I made a little mistae in the quiz question. I corrected it now maybe you want to review it. The old question was: "...SB bets again into you and CO would raise you now?". The correct question should be: "...SB bets again into you and CO would you raise now?".

Very interesting. I play these strong draws in multiway pot too simplistically i think: only trying to keep as many people in for value, not considering winning the pot without going to SD. Thanks for this.
