Hi,

I'm from Portuguese community.

A member reported a issue with Pokerstrategy.com Elephant v0.98 that doesn't happen with v0.90.

He says that before install v0.98 add created a new database and than try to import 500K hands. He says that the import process was fast, the problem was that Pokerstrategy.com Elephant took about 24 hours to analyse the hands.

Than he uninstalled v0.98 and installed v0.90 and imported the hands again.
The process with this version took 4 hours and 30 minutes.

He says that the problem isn't with the import process but with the analyse process, that is different in the two versions.

Have you notice this issue?

Hey sarvam,

please tell your community member the following:

He should try importing the hands in smaller chunks. Importing 500k hands at once seems a bit much to us.

Running an analysis for 24 hours also does not seem to be practical.

Importing only 50 files at a time works fine for me. Please keep in mind that I don't know how much hands his files contain, so I could be totaly wrong here and he maybe has only 1 hand per file or 5000 hands per file.

But I have a doubt about this issue. Why the older version is faster than newest one?

Well... I can tell you for a fact that my imports are way faster with the latest version 0.96, 97, 98 then they were before (0.69+).

I don't know what happend to his import / analysis but importing only a few hands at a time should always work very fast.

I know that my experience with the import may completly differ from another ones but we can only fix something if we can reproduce it. We don't know why his import took so long and why it was so much faster in previous versions.
