Okay first off - don't limp.

If you like A9s (I don't) then bet and if you get callers, you have a reasonable idea of their hands.

As played villain may be a nit, but his pre-flop raise stat is good, so I am guessing he would raise with AQ & 99.

So with A9 on a rainbow board you are well ahead.

However, now we have a problem - as you limped in his pre-flop his range could be huge and with no money in the pot, he can hang around with Ax, 2 or low pair trying to make a decent hand - T♣ J♣ or 77, 66 are all dangerous later on.

As it stands he may not have a flush or a set, he might have 2 pair As and 7s or As and 6s, or he might have Ax and thought you had QJ chasing a OESD - his bet might just be to test that fact and win before showdown.

As played I would have bet more on the turn and put a stop bet in on the river.

Personally though I would be wary of set mining and AJ, AT, pairing on later streets, so I would bet the pot on the flop and the turn. If he is still with me by the river then I would know I was beaten and it would be an easy fold.

Moral of the story is raise or fold preflop

first of all i would really like to openraise raise the hand. don't like openlimiping at all. if you raise you can also take down a lot of pots by using your big chipstack and win with a c-bet also if you don't hit something.
as played i bet the turn more. River i guess its bet-fold against that supernit or check/call. As played this very good 2pair seems to strong to fold it, also against super nit!
