Too good to fold, too deep to shove. Raise bigger.
I'd make it 2.5x to 3x. Minraising gives him odds to call with any two suited or any king/Ace. Unless you're planning to 4bet-shove any raise from a loose player or the SB ( who will raise often since your min-bet seems very weak ), make it bigger.
If you really want some input tell a little about the table dynamic and some stats.
Minraise is fine. A little too deep to shove. 88 plays reasonably well postflop and you will be in position unless the button flat calls you.
