UTG1 folds, UTG2 raises to $0.07, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.07, 3 folds.

Flop: ($0.17) A♣, 8♥, 3♠ (2 players)
UTG2 bets $0.1, Hero calls $0.10.

Turn: ($0.37) 4♥ (2 players)
UTG2 checks, Hero bets $0.22, UTG2 raises to $0.54, Hero folds, UTG2 gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $0.81

I figured after his pre-flop raise, cbet & then check-raise on the turn that he had to have an ace. Would it have been worth carrying on in this hand?

Hello GazAsh2002,

Sometimes I am even just Checking behind on turn because there aren't that many draws which you should be scared of and if he has some kind of weaker hand, he will likely just fold it. While you could still maybe get from some value on river if he Checks to you. And yes, there is not much to do than just give up the hand against that kind of Check/Raise.

Although it's not like a mistake to bet the turn.
