This is a 1 dollar SnG 4$ for 1st, 1.8$ for 2nd. Four Handed.

I am the SB. I am the shortstack with 1,030 with the blinds at 50/100. In short I am in trouble. I get As Jd. All my raises were being folded straight so I chose to trap. I call the blind.

BB (He had K7) checks.

Flop comes: 8s Qc Ks he bet 300. I called (A terrible mistake I think).

Turn: 4H he bets 400. I figured I have too much invested, realized my earlier call was an error. But decided to call.

River: 10c

Me: All-in, he calls and I win with my straight

Am I right in thinking I blanked out, should have pushed pre-flop, should not have called at the flop, and that he should have forced me all-in on the flop and turn.

1. Stick to Bank roll management. You need 220$ in order to play these safely!
2. push preflop.
3. Fold flop
4. Fold turn

I thought you need 50 buyins at most, I have 74 dollars now so shouldn't I be safe?

how is 50*4.40 74? im confused, help me...

anyway, s&g variance is sick:

This is on 15+1$.

Thereby, if you play like this, id recommend you not to play s&g at all, because you clearly dont have a clue how to play. sss didnt go well either, but at least that is easier to learn.

Is a $1 SnG. He says the first prize is $4.

ahhh, that makes sence, see, my confusion was all justified. BTW, you see how early I made that post, anyway, my other advice, play sss or read articles/be a lot better, still applies. Srry for the misunderstanding.

Well what shell I say to your Hand? You trapped and it didn't work. You know you should have pushed, but decided against it and got punished.

Push Prelfop.

actually he didn't get punished :P

you can't slowplay hands like AJ AQ or AK... only high pocketpairs... and even so, you should not do that because your reverse implied odds are bad yada yada yada.

in short, what unam said.

OK my view on these things is a bit different, when I have to make a decision, and I make a bad one, then I got punished, because I lose money. No matter who sucks out or doesn't.
