I'm also pretty sure it's +EV to openpush AA for 50BBs, that doesn't make it the correct play.
I know it's an extreme example, but the situation is the same. It IS +EV to jam, but we lose a lot of EV, because raising is so much better (more plus EV).
i think you lose some value against passive opponents who won't try and abuse shove pre-flop over you but will call a pf raise v wide. if you are worried about aggressive players raising you can always limp/shove
