Hi!

he 3x-ed 4th time in the last 25 hand 15-17bb effektive.
Is it a good spot to resteal against a winning regular? it was the first SNG against him. He played 16/ 13 after 83 hands. And he missed a lot of ATC SB push on the bubble against me.

You should only shove as value. When CO raise 3x he is most likely going to call shove from both blinds. So I would say his range is pretty tight. Though using 3x with these blinds is bit weird overall. Has to be quite bad reg? That is even more reason to fold as he might be calling too loose.

Looks awful. When people raise large lategame they are pretty much saying "please don't shove or call, but I have nice hand so I raise big so I'm commited when they shove." Ofc sometimes it is also just strenght from tight bad player who won't adjust.

Thank you.

I ran into QQ, but i have a hope that he had raise/ fold range.

I think that he is 3x-ing 4th times isn't enough reason to shove, but really suspicous.

The fact that he is scared to put his all the money in:

  • Not openshoving as bigstack
  • Not pushing SB ATC situation 2 times in a row

pushed the pointer of the balance to the way of make my terror move.

Maybe the reasoning in my thought proccess is wrong. Correct me please!
I am sure i made a mistake, i am overplayed my hand.

Hmm to me the fact he is not shoving BvB ATC spots makes me even more scared he has strong range in this spot. It also means he probably does not understand how ICM affect that well so I would think he is likely to call too wide. Why would he raise large from CO with widish range, if he is not even loose in BvB? Well maybe I just don't understand his way of thinking :)

So IMO this is very bad spot to make any moves. Also, if it would be decent spot I would prefer to have somewhat decent hand. Like Axs or some suited connector so that when we do get called there would be decent equity/blocker. Q6o is just horrible hand when we are caught...

It's true :)

So difficult to see what other player think in these situations.
