Limit Holdem $0.50(BB) Replayer
SB ($17.85)
Hero ($25)
UTG ($19)
CO ($12.35)
BTN ($13)

Dealt to Hero J♦ 9♥

fold, CO raises to $1, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.50

FLOP ($2.25) 2♥ 9♠ 8♥

Hero checks, CO bets $0.50, Hero raises to $1, CO calls $0.50

TURN ($4.25) 2♥ 9♠ 8♥ 5♠

Hero bets $1, CO calls $1

RIVER ($6.25) 2♥ 9♠ 8♥ 5♠ 8♠

Hero bets $1, CO raises to $2, Hero folds

CO wins $7.90

CO is a 97/78/43 over 32 hands, so a maniac
flop agg:72 turn:50 river:89

my plan was to happily put 3 bets on the flop and as played, i think i made a horrendous mistake folding the river, as he is so aggressive, he could easily turn JT,QT,KT,flushdraws into a bluff

now looking into the hand i see another line, what if we c/r the flop and go for another c/r on the turn and bet/call river

I am NEVER folding a hand this strong vs a guy like that, in fact not vs most people. Top pair is a strong hand on this board and you should not be looking for reasons to fold it except against the most straightforward and passive players

As to your question I still prefer bet on the turn and I may even look to bet/3/bet vs this guy. I don't like the idea of check-raising when he will have a lot of hands with equity and our hand is strong enough to go to war.
