If that's what you think of over 30's, god knows what you think of over 40's. I need to get to a casino a.s.a.p. :f_biggrin:

Seriously JB, being over 40 and playing live cash games is so so so +ev. If you know your own image and have a good game plan about how to exploit it you can make so many sexy sexy plays.

Some more notes from me..

- We want to keep the videos short (around 10 minutes) so apologies if speaking too fast

- Our 3bet in live games can be even wider, fine to be 50% vs the right opponents that we spoke about in game

- Important to really understand we can 3bfold huge value hands, 10's/AQ

Another note, remember stack sizes are always important, don't do this against guys who have 15bbs and are going to be priced in on any flop. Generally live play plays alot deeper so its not usually a problem. Some discussion from the other thread..

I personally play the strict TAG, play for value,IP and 3 bet the top 3-4% (standars).Of course i 3 bet 67s but that is with the opponent.
But anyway, keep the videos coming about life play, also some MTT strategy and tells.

Hey TurnitAce,

From my experience

This does not happen very often, I often see people playing face up and check folding way too often, as I speak about in the video, I don't think players make good adjustments and 4bet pre or satrt check raising flops and/or rivers. Anyway as we do in any form of poker we adjust to villains, of course not every villain plays exactly the same and some will make different plays, but generally I see people playing VERY stubborn pre flop but very fit or fold post flop meaning we should 3bet super wide vs them for immediate value.

Also most live games are going to be played deeper. Even if we aren't playing deep lets look at the AQ hand..

Lets say we both have stacks of 500, he opens 15, i 3bet to 45. Flop is 257, he checks, I bet 65, I think its very unrealistic and uncommon to see players just randomly going all in for 455 here. Perhaps you are playing in games with lots of short stack villains?? If this is the case then obviously 3betting and playing pots with villains with a VERY SMALL POT TO STACK RATIO is going to be bad.

As I mentioned in the video, I don't see many players taking the 3betting line, but I see almost every winner taking the isolating line. I was speaking to a friend who plays the very high stakes games in Macau and built up his roll from playing NL200 in the casino and he told me that he really liked the video and it was in fact the main difference between good and very very good regs in live games.

Remember, the fish aren't going to be there forever, we get dealt less hands per hour, we want to play as many pots as possible with that, calling k8o pre flop and playing a 6 way pot with dominated holdings isn't going to be a winning play, 3betting in position and isolating a weak player HU in position is going to be.

I'm truly torn between Jared's most recent offering and Pat/Callum's first vid when voting in this poll.

At first I like the format freebies offer us - They are short and they hit the target.
Secondly I like videos better, somehow visual memory alone does not work so well as it is with together with hearing.
Thirdly the best freebie so far for me would be Defining villains range on the turn with YourDoomPoker. As a SSS amateur player I feel that I have some difficulities with aggresion after flop, so it gave me more courage. :)

Thank you for those freebies you are offering!

I like the mindset article best, because it provided the most value of all freebies.

I think the weekly freebie is a good addition to PS.This way I would like TY to all producers.
My favorite was YourDoomPoker. To be honest I felt he had the most experience(exclude Jonathan). It was short, quick, brought to the point and interesting. Maybe it is only for me but his videos require higher status to pick his thoughts so for me it was a valueable experience.

A Little Buy-In - $1 Review

Simply because Johnattan Little's videos were the first I watched systematically and because I still think he is one of the best video producers!

Just finished watching Vonki's video and I really liked it. I'm playing NL5 so the video was very well suited for me. She did a very good job explaining the thought process behind every move and from what spots and positions how you should play. I have a lot of moves to add to my game now. I also did read Jared's article, I have some of the problems he mentioned, gonna have to try out the ways he mentioned to fix it. Yourdoompoker's video was one of the most exciting videos I have watched, I think I didn't blink while watching it. Not sure if I will watch the other freebies because they didn't really interest me that much, so from the 3 I have seen Vonki gets my vote because it was the most useful to me.
