Quite a loose passive table but for CO (tag). Should I assume CO has a straight on the turn and just call for the big pot?

I'm really bad at discounting outs. Can I call turn here? I'd fold river to a raise then.

1) the raise is for value, but i think i wouldn't do it. turn ok en river ok if he wasn't almost all in i would just c/c it i think.

2) preflop is a fold i think. flop call should be ok, i don't get your turnraise. just call for your outs. riverraise should be ok, but maybe its better to go for the overcalls with that many players still in the hand

3) i think i would call it to

4)nh

1) I don't raise my good draws if the board is aired because we have to discount a bit. (Same with an OESD on a 2-suited board.)

2) I don't understand your raise on the turn. You only have 4-6 outs here. River is good.

3) Sure you can. You don't need to discount very much. 5 for your overcards and 0,5-1 for the 9 as it gives you the nuts.

4) Good. Nice results.

1) What does 'aired' mean here?

2) It didn't look too bad for me, but not too good either. That's why it's in this forum ;)

I think it was because of the way the table was playing. My reasoning could be something like this (it was some days ago):
I was pretty sure that nobody but CO had an 8 and all they could hold was some kind of pair. Even for CO I thought he was raising only because of his position (not that my readings are any good, especially with so many opponents, but still). So it was to try to find up if he really had it or if I could scare him a little, while adding some value as I knew everyone would call.
It surely has its flaws. I realize now that betting for freesd doesn't apply here as I have nothing. "Overcalls" is my next article reading :)

It turns out that my readings were not completely bad (but for MP1):

Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows a straight, ten high (K♠ T♣)
MP1 shows a straight, nine high (9♥ 7♠)
UTG+2 shows a straight, ten high (Q♥ T♥)

3) How do you discount your overcads outs? The article about Odds & Outs has been changed and the part about discounting has been "simplified". I think it said something like counting 2 outs for each overcard and discounting 1 more in multiway 2-suited flops. Maybe this should go to the strategy forum.

Btw, I didn't realize the 9 was an out.

1) 'paired'. :)

2) The 6 is a really bad card for your overcards because every 8 has a straight now. Additionally nobody will fold anything here and since it's not for value as you would need many more "nut" outs (Outs where you can be pretty sure to win if you hit, which is not given with a K or T.).

Good to see that we helped you here since this is a very costly mistake. :)

3) This basic rule is good. I would go further with half the outs of your overcards = discounted outs. So with 2 overcards = 6 outs / 2 = 3 discounted outs. If the board is good you can add 1 out or if you are HU you can add one.
On a bad board against 2 or more opponents you can subtract 1 etc....
