KK vs Donk, Donk, Raise on A high board. Do I pay off?

Hand is severly missplayed unless you have a certain read that his donks are weak made hands and that you can induce more spews from him.In general I would assume this vs no oponent.

In fact vs almost any oponent I see one line which is never bad and is pretty much always best...standard WAWB.

Why would you raise flop?!? It can only be understood for value assuming his main part of range are 8x,4x,pockets and not air or Ax+,this is not true vs unknown. If you just call you can still decide on the turn and bet if he checks or call if he bets. This will still make almost the same vs his made hand range(1bet less vs worse,1bet less lost vs better) but most importantly it will allow him to spew off since on this board I expect random spews quite frequently(and if you gain 3 bets from J9) is much much more important than to maybe get thin value vs his made hand range(since J9 is basically dead hand and J8 is very live and also you are almost dead vs Ax)

So...I only see call as an option and play as WAWB.

As played even less reason to raise turn.The range you put him on is unrealistic,since even he has 96o(which is not super likely) he will rarelly b/c it and then donk turn and I would also eliminate some 8x,4x combos as these would way too often just c/c now),Ax on the other hand makes perfect sense....call and calldown is not clearly best

River yes, pot is huge and oponent unknown.He may still ocationally show up with 8x or whatever 1:9,5 will cover it.

Yeah ok, vs a reasonable opponent I'd agree but this guy was weird.

He had already limp reraised/capped with rag aces on 3 occasions. So as I said above I could pretty much rule out an A.

Well fact that he capped too light doesnt mean he cannot donk TP?! What is says to me is that he is much more likely to donk air...and in that case you again dont want to raise him but you want to let him spew off

I would treat this hand as a WA/WB one .It is pointless to raise if ahead and let him fold worse hands OTF or OTT . On the other hand , you keep your losses at a minimum when behind.

As played , you can not fold there .

Yeah I agree now that I've had time to get over the hand. You would not believe what he was holding though. I'll just say my instincts were bang on until the river.
