Hi guys,

Please note, that your partner needs to be female. We can not allowed to bring a male friend, due to the high number of male participants we can only invite you and your female partner.

Thanks for understanding.

Marina

Wow, this is bad!

PokerStrategy.com really agrees with this statement? Have you heard anything about LGBT rights over there yet?

I'm heterosexual but If I was going to your discriminating party I would take a guy with me because of this and I advice everyone else to do the same.

This pissed me off. I almost wish I hadn't looked in this thread.

Hey zobupasts ,

you find it discriminating not be allowed to bring your buddy, right?
Or because Marina wrote "female" partner?

For the first example, I have to say that I do not agree here.

Inviting to an event with partner (not friend) is a standard procedure for many kind of events.
If you are invited to a wedding with partner you can also not just bring your buddy.

Discriminating would be to exclude male people whose partner is a man.
We do not do this.

If your partner has the same gender, fine. If you consider this as an invitation to abuse the system, we might ask for proof on the door:-)

Best regards,
Tobias

I am actually surprised that I even have to explain here something. You really don't see what is the problem? Just wow!

WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT GENDER MY PARTNER SHOULD BE???

So to all you homosexual dudes: fuck you! Leave your other halves at home or don't come at all! PokerStrategy does not give a fuck that you would like to share that hard earned evening with your lover like those who happen to be heterosexuals. All PokerStrategy cares about is that after the party they can post pictures with loads of ladies, not a sausage fest.

Hey zobupasts,

I am afraid we either have a language problem here or I have to ask you to read my post carefully before you start flaming in an appropriate language.

I quote myself:

Discriminating would be to exclude male people whose partner is a man.
We do not do this.

If your partner has the same gender, fine

This means in other words: A homosexual couple is welcome!

Does this clarify the situation and "solve" the problem you seem to have?

Regards
Tobias

If you've got a responsible job with people than there are topics you probably shouldn't make fun of and putting a dumb smiley at the end of the sentence does not make it ok. But I'm not that concerned about your personal views and your particular post was not what made me go off.

PokerStrategy must educate their employees, e.g. Mariiina, that there are same gender couples out there and they mustn't be discriminated against. Think before you write and post something.

OnkelHotte you are right though- my English is not great and because of that I would better not engage in a long discussion. But I can understand this much:

At least correct that, you non-discriminatory PokerStrategy.

Peace!

"Invitation to abuse system" = suddenly everybody brings his buddy as partner.

I now corrected the OP because it is by no way our intention to discriminate anybody.

However please choose a more appropriate tone in your language, lack of language knowledge does not justify flames and insults, no reason to be that offending!

Just curious, is this just a party sponsored by PS, or do members also get covered for expenses such as flights and hotel?
