Playing a live game in the casino

So I currently work in the casino nearby (I live in Canada fyi, you can count on two hands the number of casinos in Ontario). At the end of the summer, I really want to play in the poker room that they have. But I have have some questions that I was hoping some of you knew the answers to. The game I'm going to play is the $2/$5 game. I'm looking to buy-in for the near minimum (probably 20-26BBs). I want to represent the image of a fish when I go in. Does that sound appropriate? Being that it will be my first time, I don't want to play with a big stack.
Another question I had was about the timing to go and play. I was thinking of going in for about 2-3am on a friday to try and catch people when they are tired/drunk/tilting. Sound good or would another time be better?

Also, when I double up, I'm going to want to rat hole that money. The casino has a 30 minute policy on leaving and re-buying for less. I'm worried about people seeing me for what I am (a hit and runner). Should I even bother going back after I win?

You should pick a number between 0 and 36, and give ur winnings a spin ...imo

with so little BB you are really looking for preflop monsters. if game is really loose they wont help you that much to even win a pot since one of mutliple opponents will outdraw you. also you can wait whole night to get good cards and i dont know how you will represent fishy image after couple of hours of folding.

Plus your buying in for near minimum, and is this a SH'ed table, I know they dont have FR tables in our casino's over here. If its SH you intend to do this on, then dont IMO. If this is a good poker room, then the time wont matter, as the better players will head there the same time, for the easy pickings.

Black 22 is always +EV.

1: SSS is most profitable. however SSS is excruciatingly boring (from personal experience) live, as you are only playing 1 table.

2. you work there? most casinos have a policy against workers playing in its games afaik.

3. BRM O.O, wild and loose action at SH, and i'd imagine you don't have the roll to cope with the variance (but this is just a guess)

imo, save up some money from online, cash out some of it when you get a nice big roll, then play in those (juicy) live games using BSS. you don't have to have the whole 15000$CA needed, but it would be good if you were close

Its FR, and I'll be done work at the casino at the end of the summer, which is why I want to go then.

Part of this is for pure entertainment value as well, so I don't mind bending the BRM, because if I lose it, I don't really mind. I am going with a friend as well.

ah well, SSS is bearable in these cases then :). i suggest that.

Without bankroll management cash game poker is close to pure gambling, in my opinion
If you want to play just for fun, isn't it better to register for a tournament, they probably organize them at the casino. Less risk involved

FR at a casino? wtf, why have I never seen this. I've been in casino's all over the world and have never seen a FR game offered. Damn if I could get a regular FR game at my local casino i'd vertually live there.

How many BB's is your min/max buy in?

The minimum buy-in for all games is 20 x Big Blind.

The minimum re-buy for all games is 10 x Big Blind.

There is no maximum buy-in for limit games.

The maximum buy-in for no limit games is:

1-2 No Limit - $200

2-5 No Limit - $500

Do you have full ring games or are they all 6max?

All our tables seat to a maximum of 11 players and we will open with as few as 2 players. We do not offer 6 player only table, due to the volume of our Poker Room.

How full are the tables on a Friday night, generally speaking?

We have 12 tables in our Poker Room, which are all open and full with a waiting list of up to 2 hours for all games.

By the end of the summer, I will actually be able to play the NL2 tables without breaking BRM, so it should be interesting

Very nice ♦ We probably have only one casino that can match that (Perla in nova gorica) ♦ Never been there so far but i plan to change that

yeah I'm really exited for playing there. I ran into a dealer in one of the break rooms yesterday and talked to him for a while. He said the room was really really fishy, especially friday/sat night when people start drinking.
But under ontario law, patrons can only have 2 drinks/hour, so that kinda sucks for me

you can expect, with 11-handed poker, that it will be 10% better for SSS :).

btw, nice casino. the tables offered by the one here just plain sucks... 30BB min buy-in, 50BB max buy-in..
