Well. I know I am not yet a good player, but still, I don't know what's happening.

I play NL25 shorthanded. Every day I learn something new and try to get better and better, and I do (atleast I hope so). Still, I am constantly losing money. I just don't know what to do. My stats are 17/13/2 - don't know whether they are too bad, but I hope its not too bad.

      Here are some sample hands.

Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
      LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

      Hero (UTG): $32.45
      CO: $36.95
      BTN: $17.35
      SB: $6.40
      BB: $39.90

      Pre-Flop: A:club: A:diamond: dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to $1, 2 folds, SB calls $0.90, BB calls $0.75

      Flop: ($3) 6:spade: 3:heart: T:spade: (3 Players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $2.50, SB folds, BB raises to $5, Hero calls $2.50

      Turn: ($13) 3:diamond: (2 Players)
BB bets $2.75, Hero calls $2.75

      River: ($18.50) T:club: (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $5, BB raises to $19, Hero folds

      Results: $28.50 Pot ($1.35 Rake)
BB mucked and WON $27.15 (+$13.40 NET)

Villain was a 39/12/4 player, he liked to take my money and laugh about it.
I usually used to call in this situation, but lately I read about playing overpairs and realized that they are not that mighty as I though they were (they are obv. PF and usually flop also), but you can do nothing against fish.
      Who is holding 93o.

      -----------

Well, now a hand that is very very common for me last week(s).

      Results: $18.25 Pot ($0.85 Rake)
CO mucked and WON $17.40 (+$8.40 NET)

This is exactly where I'm losing.

SB showed K:diamond: 6:diamond: (a flush, Ace high) and WON $17.15 (+$8.15 NET)

Here the villain is the same that on the first hand. I think I played that hand well, seemed like this villain was playing back at me for some strange reason.

Another example how I'm constantly losing. 20BB isn't horribly enough, but if it keeps happening every time, this is big outcome.

Perhaps river call is bad, but still, villain was 20/8 and WTSD value was 31 and I decided to call.

Pure luck, raise flop because I wanted to know where I stand and overcards would have folded I guess.

Even tough, I want your opinion that should I do. My mood is not affecting my solid game I try to play, but I would like to be winning player "again".

      (Don't suggest me playing fullring)

      Thank you

      Hi Nitrub,

first of all I'll tell you what I think about your hands.

      1. reraise flop and call push. alternative: call flop and raise/call this turn.
You are too often ahead to play differently.

      2. nh!

      3.nh!

      4. Either c/f turn or bet/call. I prefer to b/call here, he might call loose on the flop and we have a possible redraw.

5.Either bet or c/f but not c/c. Worse hands will check behind and better hands will bet. I prefer to c/f even though it sucks.

      my general advices:

I saw you posted one hand in the hand evaluation forum. Use it more often. Post hands!
You preflop play looks good. You need to focus on improving your postflop skills. Discuss you general strategies in the forum and visit coachings.

      Best regards,
      TribunCaesar

1rst hand - I hate the bet on the river. He is not calling with too much that you beat, check

2nd hand - Way too much standard

3rd hand - Actually you were lucky, If he "bet" (that bets are not bets) the turn/river or check-raise you, that would hurt more, much more

      4th hand - Standard too i think

      5th hand - I would c/f river :(

Can anyone explain me why you have to make conti bet on 2nd hand on flop? Bronze articles suggest a fold..... but if you do conti bet flop with A high, shouldn't you bet again on turn? And/or river?
