I think you should of raised more pre-flop
but on the flop you played it fine, u were ahead.
Nicehand.

Check the flop and then fold to any bet...Why? you're kicker sux+flush draw+straight draw, either way a fold would have been better not knowing what opponent has, this isn't a spot where to risk 1st place to be honest.

Heads-up = play the opponent. You should know what your opponent may have here, and then decide. If you think you're ahead you could check/raise or check/call to try to go to showdown.

I'm far from a HU expert.

We want to raise to about 2200 imo (maybe less). 3bb's is extreme in a HU game.

Post flop, play the oponant, its pretty impossible to say.

But imo sinsst is wrong, top pair low kicker is a good hand in HU.

Hi Semesa (vs unknown I would)...

Preflop is OK. We can also reraise all-in preflop as we have Ax (which is close to the nuts heads up this shortstacked) and a ton of fold equity. And we win a massive pot without showdown if he does fold.

Flop, CHECK. When villain bets, we can either raise him all-in or call his bet.

@Sinsst, NONONONONO. Top pair heads up is very good! Please for heaven's sake don't check/fold this.

My advice of play since in the BB would be FOLD or shove all-in. You have A (not a strong one) but it might be enough to make him fold. Plus your out of position on the flop :P.

heads-up in a tourney is about playing the player and less about the cards

push preflop allows you to force him into makes a question about his tournament life , if he calls it's fine as and normaly your A is ahead 56% to 44% and even if you lose your stack is still ok

calling just allows him to hit something on the flop as well as he has position on you , if you push per the chances are that he will fold but it's still better than allowing him to suck out

A push is best, I agree. But a call is definitely also OK. Especially if villain is tight (I mean by HU standards!)

This is totally dependent on reads/history w the villain

Against most opponents i would probably shove over the min raise pre w ax.

If you choose to set a trap as i guess you have, plan on check raising ai if u hit the a. Most players will c-bet any flop after they raise pre hu.

I definitely think check raise ai is the best line on this flop.

Sinsst WTF!!! ?(

This is madness grasshopper. It's hu! in a rebuy tourney! w a solid chip lead! and a chance to win it on this hand!

imo u r way in front hu w this hand on this flop 9/10

By the way, whatever line u took, its a big cooler.

The dh hit a gutshot at the end of the day when u had him crushed 80:20 on the flop when the chips went in.
