My Handy Little Equity Chart

I've made myself what i think of my "Handy little equity chart for playing versus Intelligient Reraisers when i myself have raised from early position or think its applicable"

Or for short, just "My Handy Little Equity Chart".

The opponent range is JJ+ AKs and AKo

All i have to do is multiply the total pot - rake by the equity (In the form of eg TT = 0.3365) and if this is more than my remaining stack, I'm good to call.

Or in my little Formula;

RS = Remaining Stack
TP = Total Pot
EQ = Equity in 0.% form
Rk = Rake

Call when

If RS <= EQ(TP - Rk)

If you notice that this is wrong, please for the love of ****** tell me

P.s Thanks for your comments guys. Kimber88 i was already playing NL25 when i got elephant. I started out with $200 and lost money at NL10 shortstacking when NL25 had run out and Bigstacking badly at NL4.

Cheers Pacer. How did you do your knee? An impressive fall or one of those annoying little things that seem like they'll be nothing at the time like doing a spreadeagle of a mogul at the end of your run and somehow messing it up?
Hope your knee's good enough to still ski some of the time

DaPhunk's first 5422 hand Review!
(Complete with pretty pictures)

Hi everyone. I just finished my first 5422 hands at NL100. Heres what i think about the limit from what i've seen so far;

• It seems totally beatable. Similar to NL50 actually.
• So far People seem to like calling Cbets from a Shortstack.
• There seem to be many extremely tight players
• Stealing and Restealing seems to be highly profitable. More so than NL50.

My summary of my experience so far;

1. Pretty normal downswing to start off. Being NL100 it sent me on mini tilt though.
2. Return to upswing when i got used to the limit again and applied my anti tilt techniques.
3. Finishing off with more confidence about my choices in resteal situations.

DaPhunks Mini Update

Thought it would be interesting to add this mini update.
I just played the 50k special freeroll on partypoker and came something like 274th - 276th. Can't quite remember. (out of 4,682 entrants)
Would have been nice to do better but heh, I'm happy with getting a free $35.
Especially as i don't normally play Sng's or MTT's.

I will give you a mini history as i remember it of the Freeroll, A pic and a query about elephant stats!

1. Started slow winning a couple of non-showdown pots but not many at all
2. Soon entered Push or Fold game. No action and pretty much card dead.
3. When there were about 1000 to 1600 players left i got into Gigabet Dilemna and pushed Q6s UTG
4. I tripled up with trip 6's. Kinda lucky heh. Other two opponents didn't hit at all.
5. Continued Playing Push or Fold due to effective stack size.
6. Pushed AQo from middle position. Got called by pocket 8's. Added 10k to my 25k stack.
7. Continued to play push or fold for a while and by the time i was ITM had to play regular again.
8. No more significant action till just before 300th place. Pushed "ATC" against two 3BB Blinds. with 78s from CO.
9. Big blind called and showed an Ace. I hit a card but he hit Ace on river.
10. Game was over for me a short time later. Down to 3BB I pushed QJs from UTG and got called by A2s.
11. $35 added to my account and a pleasing result for a none tourney player

And now my quick elephant question;

Please read this sample hand first; NL100 easy fold

Now, My question is; How is the 3bet % stat calculated?
I sense that it could really help me with villains who will limp UTG and then 3bet me.
It still seems to be an odd line to me for a villain to slowplay JJ+ AK+ and then 3bet.
For me i'd far rather put the villain on raising JJ, QQ and AK from UTG, but slowplaying his KK+ in this way.
I'm still scared to push in this sort of situation until i have a stat like 3bet% that can help.
However, i have no idea how 3bet% is calculated!

I will coach you/teach you telemark in exchange for shelter in Verbier!!
I live in Ollon, down the road (~10-15mins) from Villars, very close to Diablerets, Leysin and Champéry (portes du soleil) too

Jumped over a gorge but misjudged the speed a bit and landed in the mountain wall on the other side :rolleyes:. Knee is alright but I can't push it to hard and that makes i kinda pointless to me.

Wow, sounds pretty nasty. I always wondered how much skiing would lose its enjoyment if i stopped being able to push it so much.

All my accidents have been pretty stupid. I've given myself knee to face a couple of times before from jumping cliffs with landings that were pretty much completely flat. I decided to buy a mouthguard and fullface helmet after i got sick of that horrible sensation of cement in my mouth after grinding up my teeth ♦ Those crashes were bad enough hehe, don't want to think what it would be like to have a serious crash like you had.

DaPhunks Excuse Update

If you were wondering why i havn't hit my next 12,000 NL100 hands (So i can post my next update) yet this is why;

1. I took a quick holiday to my granparents house
2. I drove my sister to university
3. My Town has a beer festival going on right now

I think i have to play 2400 hands before the end of sunday though, to clear my weekly bonus on party. Don't you worry i will be posting an updated graph soon!

I called here preflop with the sole intention of bluffing the flop if i was first in, followed by a 2nd barrel if the flop was good and a scarecard came on the turn. Worked out well
